Great little ice machine for a small household
Bought this because our fridge/freezer quit making ice. We replaced the whole unit several years ago at a cost of $400, so we didn't want to spend that again. The ice dispenser still works, so we just opted to get an icemaker and put the ice in the bin. The ice is small enough to easily go through the dispenser. This unit will not keep the ice frozen but pauses when the inner basket is full, so monitor the icemaker so the ice is emptied into the freezer bin soon after. We are a two person household so a larger family might require a larger icemaker.

Works Great!
So you have to empty the basket about every 45 minutes. Big deal! It makes 2 sizes of ice, but we always make the bigger ones. We fill gallon freezer bags as the ice is made and all we have to do is give it. Thump and the cubes break up easily. Our tap water has been detected to have lead, so we use a water purifier for water, and have not yet had an issue! Great unit, no nosier than a dishwasher, and far more convenient than buying ice!

Didn't work very well
Maybe I got a bad one, but it's the worst countertop ice maker I've ever had. I did like the cleaning method though. It makes it much easier to clean quickly. This machine though didn't make ice very well. The large size ice pieces were were very small and so thin most of the time that they melted right away when putting them together in a cold drink. If the kitchen was warm they were even worse. I recently replaced it with a clearance Ambuano machine that is thousands better in ice making.

Broke within months -terrible customer service
I love ice makers- not attached to the fridge though. I’m particular with my ice. Last one lasted but just needed replacement seeing that the inside of the freezing bars started chipping. I searched for a while and bought (in march 2024)this white one. It was a little loud but not the loudest I’ve had so I kept it. 3 months later stopped making ice. It would go through all the motions of making ice it just didn’t freeze the water to make ice. So I looked up date of purchase. Too late to sent to Amazon so I called the company. They had me take pictures send them receipt, cut cord and send those pictures. I send all information they requested to either send me a new ice maker or refund bcs it is still under warranty. This was in JUNE 2024 here we are in AUGUST and I’m still waiting to hear back on an update I’ve emailed and called and nothing -no reply via email or phone. Makes me aware not to buy any fridgidaire products as I was also shopping for a new fridge. I am now crossing this brand off my list 🤨terrible customer service

Best purchase!
I first saw this ice maker at my local auto body shop and when I asked them about it they couldn’t stop raving. It was an extremely hot summer day and they offered me a very refreshing iced coffee, I knew right away I was going to buy one. I live in a three level home and the master bedroom is on the third floor with access to a small rooftop. This ice maker is just what we needed to keep our drinks cool without the extra cardio of going to the kitchen. The ice maker is very quiet, self cleans and makes ice in as little as 7 minutes. It is portable, can use it at home as well as on the rooftop/yard. I would purchase this again!

I use every day!
I chose this one due to the self-cleaning. I always want my ice cubes to taste clean and a clean machine ensures great taste. My big fridge broke down and since I’m selling my house soon, decided to invest in the ice machine and small fridge I can use in my shuttle bus. This little machine really cranks out the cubes. I use filtered water in it. And love that I always have ice available.

Wet ice, doesn't keep overnight.
Decided to return this product after using it for two days. There are some pros and cons with this ice maker but the cons are a deal breaker for me. Pros: Small footprint, fairly silent like a distant bathroom fan, makes ice quickly, has a drain plug at the bottom, self cleaning feature. Cons: Since it's small it has a small fan also, which causes the ice to be wet even after a few batches. The ice never solidifies and melt overnight. I have another ice maker I purchased for less than $90, which is slightly larger than this one and has a larger fan. That one solidifies the ice after the 3rd batch due to the size of the fan. Ice is kept overnight without melting. This Igaloo one has a smaller footprint, which makes the fan smaller. Even after the 3rd and 4th batch of ice the ice still is wet. When the water needs to be refilled, the ice doesn't keep overnight. Despite the ice melting into the reservoir below, the need water indicator is on. This is a flaw because my cheaper ice maker detects water in the reservoir if the ice melts and makes new batch of ice until water run out. This one if the ice melts, it requires more water to be added or it requires a power off/on cycle for the sensor to detect water in the reservoir. If you plan to use ice right away and don't mind wet ice, where the ice would melt quickly in your liquid, this would be fine for you. If you're looking for cold ice or want ice to keep overnight, buy one with a larger fan size.

Maybe It's Because Its Refurbished?
I live in Houston Texas where water is very, very hard. With the hard water comes nasty stuff inside refrigerators and ice machine water pumps. I've noticed a lot of friends who have ice makers on their fridges get this stuff that looks like dryer lent when the ice cubes melt along with some other strange white particles. A repair person advise servicimg and having the line flushed regularly (expensive and timw consumimg if you do it yourself) will help but the issue will always be their because of the hard water. I decided to stop using the dispenser and just buy bagged ice from a reputable company. That works in the winter, but in thw summer its a drag to run out with limites space amd not have ice on a hot Texas day. I saw this with good reviews ans said why not. First, it is beyomd noisy. Them theirs the issue of the ice production. It state's it creates 26 pounds a day in 6 to 15 minute intervals depending on if you make small ir slightly bigger cubes. The picture I have of ice in the basket is from overnight. As you canxsee its no where near 10 lbs of ice. Because the basket and the water reservoir are held together, the basket is very small. Once the basket gets too full a sensor makes the ice stop producing and the red full light comes on. Often cubes falling the wrong way and blockc the sensor and make it stop making ice, so your constanly moving ice back or down to get more ice made. If you should be so lucky to get a true full basket, the ice near the top melts slightly due to it being so close to the room temperature plastic lid. The melting ice will run back into the reservoir allowing you to reuse ice made from water that is supposed to be changed every 25 to hours by manufacturer recommendations. This machine is a pain to maintain. Yet, I can't say for sure this brand is inherently bad, but the design of any machine like this is going to give you the same issues of overheating cubes on the top, sweating, noise and low production. I will be returning. Not completely sure if its a bad product or bad design but its not a good design. Amazon usually does pretty good woth the quality of its refurbished items. I've done more research and I'm now looking for brands with the water reservoir in the back or side allowing for deaper ice collection baskets. They cost a bit more money, but worth it if I can get ice without feeling like I should be gettimg paid due to working so hard for it.
