A must have, one of the best for the price.
I needed these for a job that requires hard hats or bump caps. After wearing a hard hat for the first 2 days i was annoyed, and seeing other people who worked at the facility every day wearing bump caps I asked about them. Before this i didn't know they existed. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was compared to a hard hat. They're easy to install in a hat and being able to cut the sides to adjust them is pretty cool. It saved my head a twice when going up on a 26' lift (i bumped my head on a sprinkler pipe lol). Because it's ventilated i didn't get to sweaty and the thickness of the cap is a little thicker than other ones I've seen but thats a good thing. Once you put it in your hat its very sturdy. It has a piece of foam inside and if you wanted to you can add more. This really made my job easier ( if you wear hard hats you know what I mean) even if only a little I definitely recommend it.

It works.
Fits into a variety of hats (as it should). It provides complete, consistent, excellent protection against instances of self-generated force (e.g. accidentally banging your head on steel shelving). I had to trim it to fit better, but it was along the intended area to trim for those with smaller heads.

Better to have it and not need it.
It’s lightweight, easy to fit into pretty much any hat, and gives you that extra protection from bumps and low clearances without having to wear a full hard hat. It’s not bulky either, so it’s comfortable enough to wear for long periods on the job. The trim-to-fit design is nice too it actually lets you get a good fit depending on your hat. The protection is legit for what it’s meant for just everyday jobsite bumps and scrapes. Definitely something I’d keep in my hat if I’m working in tighter areas. Only downside is the breathability in the summer. Even though it has vents, your head can still get pretty hot when you’re out in the heat all day. The airflow helps a little, but not enough to fully keep you cool. Overall, it’s comfortable, useful, and adds a good level of protection you just might feel it more when it’s really hot out.

Title: I Bought the Ergodyne Skullerz 8945F(x)… Now I Fear No Cabinet Corner
Let me paint a picture: I’m in my garage, just vibing, when BAM, another stealth attack from the corner of a shelf I installed myself. That’s when I knew I had two choices: start wearing a helmet like I’m in a continuous episode of “Jackass,” or find something subtle that doesn’t make me look like I’m prepping for a medieval joust. Enter the Ergodyne Skullerz 8945F(x), the Tony Stark of bump cap inserts. It’s slim. It’s flexible. It slides into your everyday cap like it’s just chilling, but secretly it’s out here saving your brain cells from betrayal by doors, beams, and open hatchbacks. The first time I wore it, I tested it the only way a mature adult would: I headbutted a cabinet on purpose. (Okay, it was on accident, but let’s say it was research.) And you know what? No stars. No birds. Just a satisfying thud followed by smug silence. My hat didn’t even shift. I strutted off like I’d just won a bar fight with drywall. Comfort-wise, it’s weirdly impressive. It’s like a tiny turtle shell for your head, but breathable and discreet. I wore it for hours and forgot it was even in my hat until I took it off and flinched like my head had been abandoned. If you work in tight spaces, bump your head a lot, or just want to feel lowkey invincible while doing chores, this little guy is worth it. Bonus: you’ll look exactly the same, but with 100% more head protection and 78% fewer curse words shouted at inanimate objects. 10/10 would recommend. Cabinet corners, beware.

Cheap and effective, would not do without it!
Put this inside of a dedicated 100% ventilated cap so I don’t keep hurting my head when working under a car up on a car lift. I actually took a drill and drilled about half the holes out bigger for even more ventilation. It is still completely effective at preventing me from hitting my head into stuff under the car. Oh, I put it in the cap backwards… fits perfect and snug. There’s a big gap in the protection at the back if installed the right way around. I hit the back of my head more often than the front… Because, like most people, I have eyes in the front of my head and I can see and avoid what is in the way! Also my caps bill helps in the front. Or you could just wear your cap backwards, but that’s not something I ever do.

Comfortable
It works very well. A bit difficult to fit under some hats. But it is a comfortable hat liner and reinforcer. As someone who has been narrowly missed twice by "widowmakers" falling from elm trees in my own yard, I highly recommend these

Fits all baseball caps
My husband works in construction. He needed a hard hat and a bump cap. He travels for work and we needed the bump cap very quickly. I ordered this not knowing if he would work. So far he has had this bump cap for 4 months and it is still going strong. He even packs it in his luggage and has no issues. He put the cap in one of his hats and it worked fine with no problems. On one of his jobs he got a company hat and switched the bump cap into that. He has no problems. He says the bump cap is comfortable and easy to install. He says it is lightweight. This was good for the price.

LOOK NO FURTHER!!!
What took me so long to think of this? The husband has been wearing a bike helmet for years while working in the attic, trimming stuff in the garden ,and just wearing a regular cap working under automobiles and tooling around in the garage. ,finishing all those duties that a good man does for his wife. I'm a stickler for safety: ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.( Gotta stay away for the ER at any cost.) The crawl space can be a challenge with a bulky bike helmet and when bending over in tight spaces. Bumping your head under the car with your body at difficult angles.... We were having cable installed through the attic to reach over to the other side of the house and I realized something had to change about this head gear if he was going to be able to do this project successfully. Alas, I come to Amazon, read about this Bump cap, and BTW, the reviews and videos were wonderful, so I ordered it right away. It arrived the next day and he gave me this crazy look : like I just bought an expensive hand bag. Well, we finished the fiber install with the cable guy ,crawl space and all, put away all the attic contents without a sound. After all was done, 5 hours later, he was THRILLED with the fit of the Cap inside one of his own baseball caps. He said it was comfortable, banged his head numerous times on the attic beams while finishing up the job and was so happy that he was protected, safe and much more comfortable that the bike helmet. BIG smile on his face. It has prime real estate on the garage hook for all future projects. Bike helmets are for bikes.... thank you very much! SO, I cannot say enough positive things about this cap. He did not need to trim it , but it says you can if needed. He is 5'10 in tall with an average size head. Buy this bump cap for your person that needs extra protection while working so they can stay safe!!

Ottima protezione e grande comfort

Fit for purpose.
I intend to ware this insert in my uniform cap hat at work in a maxi prison as another layer of protection at my own expense. This could save me from a serious injury. I may still receive a minor injury but it could safe me from getting a life threatening one. Comfortable to ware and fits in baseball style caps easy. Breathable for hot weather deployment.
