The receiver is about 20 ft away from my remote and it works pretty good, very seldom have to push the button more than once

I built a rather large workbench in the garage and installed three separate LED strips about 18 ft long. The strips are two color (bright white and warm white) but the controller that came with them would only turn on one color at a time (because of the current draw). I wired the connector so that both colors came on and the unit quickly quit. The strips with both colors on draw just less than 2 Amps each. I saw these and decided I would power two strips with one 5 Amp power supply and the third strip with a 2.5 Amp (because I don't have a single 6+ Amp power supply). My plan was to put one controller on each power supply output. Perfect.After soldering and crimping wire connectors I was ready to go! BOOM! Worked like a charm. Pairing the two controllers to one remote was easy (Hold speed + and speed - for a few seconds). Sometimes I have to hold the button I select (whether it is the power or any other button) for a long-press so that both controllers react. The modes are definitely not synced between the two but I don't care. I don't want flashing lights on my workbench anyway! LOLYou can set each controller up separately by unplugging the power to the controller you don't want to change and then make the adjustments.I agree with another review that there is no way to draw 12Amps through these controllers and wires. 5-6 amps per controller is max.Shipping was typical (quick) and the packaging sufficient. I would definitely get these again for other projects.

Installed for the switch that operates the nose lights on my travel trailer. Because the wires are so flimsy, I ended up soldering firmer wires to each with heat shrink tubes. The lights still work fine using the manual switch, but the remote did not work. Thinking I had missed something, I removed everything and then installed the second device. Again, remote did not work. I tried every possible combination of keys on the remote to try and repair the remote to the device (within 5 seconds of turning the manual switch on), but no luck. Because I soldered the wires, there's no possibility of returning so I'll write this off as a waste of time and money.

The remotes and reciever work great. Product is as described. One drawback for me (and I should have asked before buying) both remotes and receivers are on the same frequency. I installed as 2 separate controllers for bedside lamps. Now they both turn on and off at the same time. If one is on at the time the other is being turned on then they start to alternate on/off. I naively though both would be on seperate frequencies since sold together.

It does a great job controlling the light levels.If you plan to leave your lights at their brightest level then the controller might not last that long.

3rd update on this review. Changed * rate to 5*After about 1 month of use, only have to do a reset less than once a week.Apparently the produce eventually finds a code that doesn't get interference from other devices.All in All IMO you can't go wrong buying this, just keep in mind at the start you might be doing resets more than you want to. But for me after a while it has been working 100%Older comments follow:We installed this in one older house, and worked 100% w/o any problems.Bought another 2 set installed in a new home (with wireless alarm system) first controller died after less than 5 min.Replaced it and that worked for maybe a day, then also died.Now died is not the proper word to use. Reading on the other reviews discovered that pressing the 2 speed buttons at the same time resets the wireless connection. (Speed+ and Speed- pressed together) = reset. This brings everything back to life. BUT I need to do this 'almost' every time I want to use the LED remote.Still works, but I have to do a reset (almost) every time I want to use the remote.Can do a reset, make changes 100% then 50% then 25% then back to 100% a.. w/o doing another reset.BUT lay the remote down, and come back in 1 to 5 min and I have to do a reset in order for the remote to work.Also lights will flicker every so often.After a few days in the 'new' location, the need for resets has decreased, also flickers less than once a day.

The media could not be loaded. So I came across this item and I thought it would be a pretty cool way of controlling the light power that is going from my battery to my LED lights. I had it originally attached you a couple of triple-a battery outlet with the taco, but it was too thick and it was cumbersome inside the helmet. So I removed it for a long cord. And battery packs, but the battery pack puts out a little bit too much power. And the LED lights are so bright that I can't see through them. So I used this particular product to lower the intensity of the light which it did initially but although it does lower the light. After about 22 seconds the whole thing turns off. I cannot figure out why I check the connections. Through all solid, I went and checked the unit itself. And it's not hot or warm or anything. It's perfect so I don't know what's going on.
