Good cheap headphones.
Here's the deal: I got these to replace my Sony MDR-V6's for traveling. [I got those for $47 and was tired of them not isolating me from the outside enough and unplugging/plugging them.] These are 6~7 times cheaper. They obviously aren't as good.So here's what I'm observing:-As soon as I switched pairs [I got them! Had to test], I noticed that I was just missing sounds. There's some isolation with these headphones, but there isn't any soundstage to mention, and everything sounded kind of flat. As I kept listening, I didn't miss them too much ... but still. One can tell.-The bass was really boomy by comparison, as well.-The headphones are a lot louder (need less to drive). I was listening at 14 [out of 100, and with my computer] with my V6's - I moved that all the way to 2 with these. [They were probably as loud as the V6's at, like, 6%. The bass was so boomy that it was messing with my ears, though.]-They aren't total garbage, though. The sounds are there (and the bass is -really- boomy if you like that.-They're small! I have them at a full extension and they barely fit onto my head. I'm 6'1 and kind of lanky, though: your mileage may vary.-The pads do press on your ears. It gets uncomfortable after about 20 minutes. But: they are also very closed. I took them off and couldn't hear the music at all from a foot or so away.-There is a tiny bit of isolation, but not terribly much. It's more that the music is coming from closer than any 'isolation', per se.-They feel very sturdy: I could imagine these breaking if I tried to smash them, but not through them failing some other way, unless the cord's really wobbly. [I'll find out.]To conclude: they're $7. For $7, these are pretty good. They aren't amazing, or even -good- really, but they don't need to be. There seems to be a lot of boom to the bass, too, which is a kind of fun signature for people who like that (my ears are fairly sensitive, so I like it, but it'll have to be at really, really low volumes).

Bargain Shopper, Long time Koss headphone user.
I've been using Koss products since my CD walkman in high school. I've always enjoyed the "hard plastic" design. I'm rough on electronics and something big(ish), bulky, and solid is harder to lose or step on accidentally. I am a bit of an audiophile, but I have high end gaming headphones for stuff like that. These I bought so I could listen to music while doing work. I would say that the audio quality is decent, you're not buying Bose and the price reflects that. These are great if you want something you can lose or replace easily. The cord is a bit short, so I wouldn't recommend these for activities where you'd be moving (treadmill). But may be a good option if earbuds aren't your flavor. They are small enough that you don't feel like a space alien if you have them on in public. The band is a bit loose, so if you're going to whip your head back and forth...this isn't the product for you. The material for the ears is softish, I've worn them for several hours with no discomfort, but they aren't like my highends that feel cozy. If you're still reading, I lose headphones all the time and these have always been around $10 and of a passable quality. Get them. Just be mindful of the cord length.11/1/13 - UpdateAs I assumed/hoped the headphones work like they're supposed to. No problems. My previous review covered most things, but I did want to make a small addition that I realized just now may be a deal breaker for some and sell others immediately. The actual ear covering (the part that rests against your ears) is made for small to medium sized ears. My head and ears are average sized, and the ear covering rests right at the top ridge of my ear and on the bottom my earlobes stick out. The pressure to keep the headphones in place is slight and the pads are just cushy enough that it's barely noticeable even after an hour or more of me using them. I wanted to include this only because I recently got glasses and became aware of it. I barely noticed before, and even with glasses it's not uncomfortable, just noticeable. The pads cover the sound gathering portion of my ear, so there isn't a lot of bleed from external sources. (I frequently have to remove them to catch something on tv.) This can be an unexpected benefit. I brought these along for a plane ride and it was a great for minimizing external sound. To recap - They work. They're inexpensive. They have slight issues with size. They do block out a sizable amount of exterior sound. If I lost them today, I'd buy another pair.

Good, but are too expensive now compared to cheaper / better headphones.
I work in a computer lab (Grades 1 to 6), I've tried many different brands of headphones. Anything under $10 is normally a piece of junk that will only last a few weeks / months.Koss UR10 (Price: $13.91) (Way too expensive and used to cost $9 a few years ago). The only flaws, A wire that straps around the inside of the headphones tends to pop out while adjusting the headphones and is nearly impossible to pop back in (I started strapping black tape around the top of the headphones to prevent this problem). After several drops (from kids) the inside speaker can come loose and you hear it rattling around when you shake the headphones. This will eventually lead to one side not emitting sound.Note: Koss ED1TC are a $10 version of the Koss mentioned above, but these have no ear cushions. Note: If these were $5...I'd probably buy them over the Sony model (listed below) to save money. My 1st choice: The ($10) Sony ZX Series Wired On-Ear Headphones are the best ones I've tried so far. They take a lot of abuse and last all year. If not overly abused they can last over 2 years.

Basic, sturdy, KOSS headphones for people who don't need or want bells and whistles
Would recommend to anyone who doesn't need a phone headset or wireless. My phone has pretty poor battery life so Bluetooth is a no-no. These work fine and for the money, you are getting a pair of headphones from one of the best brands in the world. No-brainier

Better than in-ear headphones.
Good, simple, headphones. Some have said the earcups are too small, but I don't think these are supposed to completely cup your ears -- they are not "isolation" earphones. They just sit on top of your ears, and provide a massive improvement in bass over what any in-ear headphone can do. Headband size/adjustment was not a problem, and is not too tight. A steal for the price, and basic desktop use at the office.
