The hardest part is on how to squeeze it in the tight space under the fireplace.Once placed into position, the wires and plug are easy to attach. The magnetic thermostat just attaches easily. Fire up the fireplace and adjust blower to your needs. Highest could be noisy but it's easily adjustable.

This product came with no instruction manual. As I was searching all over the internet for the instructions I determined that I must have too many wires that were manufacture bundle together. After wasting hours, I figured out the configuration. Fortunately it works!It is a little louder than hoped for; however since I didn’t have a previous blower, this is much better than none!:-)

Easy to put in and works wonderfully

This fan / blower was very easy to install in my gas log fireplace. It produces an expected amount of airflow (not substantial, but acceptable). However, it also produces an annoying vibration and a sound of rattling metal. The blower wheel is not balanced well, as vibration can be felt when the fan is running. This vibration transfers through the sheet metal frame of the fireplace and resonates loudly. A well-balanced blower would not have this issue. I am considering returning this unit in order to purchase one that is made with better quality.

Was worried about buying this for our fireplace. We just bought a house and we were told the blower didn't work. Come to find out they didn't have one at all. Since it is not sold by the maker, I was worried about how it would work. We have had it going every day for a month and it is working great. Now our living room gets nice and toasty.

We had gone over a two years without our fireplace working. We were told by a service technician the part needed to repair it was only available thru the original mfg out of Canada and the fireplace had been discontinued so parts were not being made. Our noy option was for a new fireplace insert! Fireplace inserts start at 5k and then you have to have a contractor do the install, another chunk of change.Fast forward to a month ago, we had a contractor that typically does the installation work of fireplaces we were looking at, bc we figured we would have to buy new. The guy came out, researched the parts needed for the job, we bought them and arranged for a return visit from same tech. He came out to do a standard service, installed the gas valve we needed to make it operational again then we had him install this too and it is perfect. We have used a small plug in portable fan to do what this bad boy does and am so happy we finally put a normal blower in. Woo hoo fireplace is working and the heat is being circulated properly, we couldn’t be happier. Great product, wish we had installed sooner.

This item fit right my Quadrafire pellet stove, all you have to do is unplug the power, pull up on the old fan, wiggle and yoink it out, remove the grommets where the fan slips on the studs, pop the new fan in, connect the two leads (this fan has a ground connection which is green, if you don’t have one, don’t worry about it), power it up and make sure the thing operates when it gets up to heat

Easy to install turns on when thermal reaches temp and shuts off after its cooled off. I wish the fan was more powerful with less noise. It makes a huge difference hanging it installed. We didn’t have a fan before and fireplace only heated the wall and some of the room. Now with this fan it will heat most of my open floor plan home.

Unfortunately this product came with three contradictory wiring diagrams for the same power strip setup.After following the first and testing it has not worked. The second two wiring diagrams involve plugging the leads from the speed switch and sensor into connectors located on the power strip. Unfortunately, the speed switch had a male coupler where a female coupler would be required so neither of these options are viable. In addition, one of these diagrams has the wires labelled with the wrong colour adding to the confusion. It specifies a blue wire where no blue wire is included in the product.Searching the internet, I discovered a fourth method which uses a separate jumper cable. However, as this product did not come with this wire I will need to get the couplers and wire from the hardware store and build this wire myself to test.I would recommend spending the extra money and buying the brand name product.Edit: after spending the time and money to construct the coupler wire which was not included with the product, or specified in the included instructions, the motor is now working. Louder than I'd prefer but functional.
