Don't blame the product, it was too old!
I gave this product five stars for all the successful liquid prior purchases an excellent performance for the number of years it has been my favorite Super Glue and track it down as needed since that first purchase. The Amazon customer service who give one star so they can complain are receiving old product Amazon must not be purchasing directly from the manufacturer. I received my Amazon Gorilla product January 9th of 2020 as my almost three year old product needed backup as it began to thicken. A few days ago I accessed the January arrival and attempted to shake it since it had been sitting since arrival. There was no movement, no sound of liquid inside. Already nothing was normal. I buy the product for the brush application method I prefer and that it's what I tried to open and could not even pull the brush from the bottle and immediately knew it was OLD PRODUCT, thicker and less usable than the one that was replacing. Before calling the manufacturer phone number on the package to confirm what I suspected, I checked the Amazon reviews for this product and saw all the single Stars and people beating up on a fine product that was outdated and expect Amazon was scammed by a dishonest distributor dumping outdated product.. such an injustice today product I had always purchased fresh at my local hardware store as I would suggest they complaining reviewers should do or, call me 800 number on the back of the package if you still have it and have the bottle on which is a production date by which I was told the product received in January was already two years old as the code on the bottle bottom indicated with its 2018 date. The Pleasant and cooperative person who answered my call at the 800 number indicated Amazon purchases from many distributors and storage conditions unknown at the distributors are Amazon warehouses and maybe totally unconducive to keep things such a product in a liquid condition. As I said above mine was three years old and I was still using and what I received was two years old and I couldn't pry the brush from the bottle, super glue stuck to it so thick the brush could not exit. This no doubt is the same kind of outdated and unusable product received as was clear to me when they described and reviewed it here. To all of those I would say buy it fresh from a trusted hardware store and if necessary check the bottom of the bottle for the code. The first two numbers after three letters on my bottle weare18, representing 2018 and I believe the 06 that followed probably meant the month of June.My 5 star reviews represent every bottle of this product I have ever purchased until that received in January from Amazon. And maybe Amazon could find a way to identify distributors who buy up old product and then sell it cheap to Amazon whose reputation then stuffers along with the manufacturer. I used Amazon instead of trying to find a hardware store in a city to which I'm new and too easily get lost...Good Luck people, this is a great product and the brush usually removes clean as a whistle and not stuck to the inside of the bottle with thickened Super Glue. I am surprised so many reviewers did not recognize an old product. For heaven sakes, Elmer's Glue does the same thing and glue sticks dry out. Adhesives must stay in the form in which they were manufactured to function.

Gorilla Glue W/ Brush
I Love this glue with the brush applicator Only down side is that it dries VERY Fast so you have to be prepared to attach your pieces very quickly the bond is VERY strong as well. Great value for the price

Very good glue for intricate projects... for the most part.
Since I started assembling resin kits like the gaming weeabo I am two years ago(thanks for establishing a hobby for me, Covid) this has been the only affordable glue that hasn't failed me horribly in most ways. The brush and skinny nozzle make it perfect for small gaps and holes, it bonds very fast so as long as you're careful, you don't have to worry about clamping or holding two items in place for more than a minute to properly bond it.There are only two consistent issues I keep running into. 1. The entire bottle of glue tends to completely dry out and become unuseable about halfway through the bottle, which, as a very small bottle, means I don't usually get enough for my buck. Each bottle tends to be able to last me two to three kits at most. 2. While the glue dries clear, it easily messes up paint and will congeal to a really ugly mess.I'll post images of some of my (embarrassing) earliest projects, as the glue has held up wonderfully since building them two years ago. More fragile or small pieces I have had to fix over the years, but for the most part they're all still standing proudly.

Easy to apply and really strong
Just be careful to not get it on your skin. It takes a day to peel off from skin. As advertised, very strong, the brush is very convenient. Screw back in the brush immediately after use, as it dries up real fast

Very old stock - hard as a rock!
Very old stock! Over 2 years old when received, completely hardened and unusable. Same thing happened last year, only this time, the glue I received was even older, 26 months since manufactured, which is absurd!Date code on bottom of bottle = SBA2008U = August 2020. Returning for refund.DO NOT BUY GORILLA SUPER GLUE FROM AMAZON! They are not rotating stock properly, so they're selling glue that's hard as a rock as many others have said. Glue SHOULD be good for only 18 months after manufacturing date (unopened) and 12 months (after opening) per Gorilla customer service. However, my experience says not to rely on this. The glue I bought last year was only 4-5 months old, but all 4 bottles were already too thick to use. I informed Gorilla who had me return the unopened bottles for inspection by their quality control people, so there may be a manufacturing issue. They told me the glue is tested and found to be freeze/thaw stable when returned to room temperature, so it's not a warehouse or shipping temperature issue.Fresh glue should flow easily. One way to check this without even opening the package is the inversion test. Just turn the bottle upside down and observe how fast the air bubble rises to the surface. It takes < 5 seconds for fresh glue. More than 10 seconds means it's too thick. If there's no bubble at all, it's way past shelf life and completely hard and useless.I've experimented with using various amounts of thinner (100% acetone = nail polish remover) to restore old Gorilla super glue, without success. Acetone is recommended to remove spilled super glue, so it was worth a try. I tried adding from 1 to 10 ml of acetone to a bottle of glue. It seems to work, temporarily, then thickens up again, and probably doesn't stick as well. Gorilla says they can't recommend any thinner that doesn't change efficacy. Some alternatives:As far as I know, Gorilla is only 1 of 2 brands with a brush applicator, but the the bottle is very easy to knock over. The other, JB Weld, has a better brush, but is a bit too thin for my use (mainly to restore vinyl record covers). Loctite Automotive Gel Control flows easily and comes in a squeeze bottle that's much more stable than Gorilla and very hard to knock over, but it's only 4 g vs Gorilla's 10 g of product, even though the Loctite bottle is bigger.
