NeatHeat Covers work great and as advertised.
These NeatHeat covers work great to cover old metal baseboard heating covers throughout my house. The house is 30 years old and after painting the original metal covers several times I tried the plastic NeatHeat covers and they are great. They cover the old metal baseboard covers perfectly and look great. I am continuing to replace all the old covers and will have a "brand new" house very soon. I recommend them highly to anyone needing to replace or recover metal covers.

The Saga Of Baseboard Heat Covers
It is amazing to see a car in space, and still have a very hard time finding an effective replacement for baseboard heater covers. These things have been a nighmare for decades.Material: First off, the only advantage I can see of having these made of metal, is better thermal conductivity. It is a bad idea in every other form. Metal is noisy, and it permanently deforms with ease, making so that long pieces dont line up anymore, it rusts over time, it is bad. So when people complain about Neat Heat being made of plastic, I think it is off of habit. The plastic is good enough for what it is supposed to do, is will take some beating and return to its original form after moderate impact. It also makes it easy to cut to fit over different set ups.Fittment: Dont expect these to fit ouf of the box. There are several types of radiators, fins etc in this world, and different ways plumbers installed them. I had to cut my end caps, and slight bend fins to make it work. After that it fit well and it looks very pleasant.I believe these should be should be sold in box stores. The biggest down size to me is definetly the price. They are incredibly expensive for being simple pieces of molded composite.I found these to be the best solution at the moment. As soon as I can, will replace all of the old rediculous metal covers at my duplex with these.

Did the job
This endcap worked nicely to replace a missing one on our hot water baseboard. Perfect shape. Just had to trim the little catch tab on the bottom as it was just a tad too high. Pricewise I though it was a little high for a piece of plastic but so is everything else these days. I needed it they had one so that's that.

Thin plastic not metal!
I thought the end caps were metal and had a different relief. They were easily spray painted to match the existing baseboard. They look fine.

Perfect
Absolutely love the new look. We have purchased just enough to do our bedroom and couldn't be happier. The end caps had to be trimmed to fit, but if you install correctly, they snap in and do not move. So, if having issues, check to make sure you have put on right, as it does snap together. The price is a bit high, but the look is great and so much better than the rusty cream colored things we used to have.
