Really attracts flys!

I bought this bait after having great success with the Victor M380 Reusable Fly Trap and the bait that comes with it (a great product for it's purpose as well). I just wanted to see if I could find a cheaper effective refill for the container. This stuff smells just as horrible and draws just as many flies. I live where the weather gets hot in the summer months and the trap fills in a week or two. However, on cooler days it doesn't seem to draw as many. Just be patient. It works when it matters. Having an inexpensive and effective replacement for the bait is great. For those reviewers complaining about the fly larvae, I expect that's normal and any hatched flies will be unable to escape the container, just like every other fly that enters the trap. Another word of advice, wear gloves if you are going to empty and reuse the trap. Soap will not remove the stench this bait leaves behind...

I first bought the Fly Magnet quart traps & attractant. It was $18 for the traps & $6 for a 3 pack of attractant. It works too well because I attracted flies from a few acres over & was emptying out my quart sized traps every few days. So the attractant would cost $6/every 3 days for 3 traps. Which equates to HELLA DAMN EXPENSIVE. So this time I wanted fly attractant but didn’t want to pay $6 for 3 packs & I didn’t want it to be super strong that I’m clearing my entire counties fly problem. I just don’t want flies in my home. So I found this attractant pack 8pk for $12 or so. I used One pack of the attractant & split it 3 ways between my 3 Fly Magnet quart size traps. I mixed it with the same amount of water as I would if with one packet then realized it may not be as potent since it’s super diluted. To my surprise I was still attracting a butt load of flies. So that’s a nice discovery as now I have enough fly attractant to last me a couple months for just $12. Instead of paying $6 every week. Also now that the attractant isn’t too potent I’m not attracting flies from a few acres over, it’s just taking care of the fly problem on my acre. Sweet deal. Happy with the purchase.

If you have flies you need this stuff. I had a serious fly problem and tried many different things that minimized the problem. After using this product I have NO live flies. The jar will have about 3 inches of dead flies within days. This stuff works.

Just as good as catfood or catfish bait. Mostly the smell of dead maggots and Flys attract more

The dry packet smelled a little bad taking it out of and putting it into the trap. After adding water, almost no scent at all. An since their is no scent, flys are not attracted to it. Easy enough to use by just putting it into the trap with dry gloved-hands. The product just does not work. I will go back to and stick with the major brand. Trying to save money ultimately was a waste of money. Do not be another guinea pig and still have to contend with the flys.

This product is the best on the market. Very good at collectin the flies that bother you or your pets.

Works great

I bought this to use in my kitchen. It smelled so bad that I thought I accidentally left some meat out that rotted. I immediately threw it out. It works great, but the smell makes it unusable indoors!

Wow. I didn’t realise how many flies it could catch. When full I managed to get better value for money by closing the top until they stopped buzzing and then chucked nearly all away (carefully cos it’s does stink) and then topped the remainder up with more water. No break in the fly catching either. Much better than the red topped ones.
