Nice EDC with spring assist at less than $100
Very nicely made, arrived sharp and ground leaving an even tooth. Slices paper right out of the box. Not a push cut but still pretty good for an inexpensive knife. This will be my new EDC so the first thing I did was to remove the clip and toss it in the trash. I never understood why someone would use a clip with a pocket knife. One reviewer complained that his had very sharp edges requiring a Dremel tool to soften all edges. Mine arrived with nice crisp edges, but I don’t have any issues with it or feel the need to modify anything. My old Uncle Henry that I carried for over 30 years was the same size as the Old Timer I’ve been carrying until I found a suitable replacement. This knife is 3/8” larger both closed and open. It feels a little lighter and thinner so it will likely take some time to get used to it. The spring assist operates nicely and I don’t feel that there’s any danger of it self opening. The VG-10 steel is holding its edge well. After testing it on approximately 75 liner feet of cardboard the blade still feels sharp enough passing the finger nail test.. I can’t speak to ease of sharpening but my understanding of VG-10 is that it has a good balance between edge retention, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. I can say that I look forward to only having one blade to sharpen even if it does prove to require more effort to sharpen. I don’t expect this to be the case … just saying. Final conclusion is that it’s very nice at its price point.

Sweet little knife
It’s got a very smooth action. It’s lightweight and has a slim profile that makes it a great knife for carrying, whether in blue jeans or suit pants.

Very sharp.
This was a replacement for one that was seized by customs in Mexico. Not the same exact knife. But equally pleased. I have many styles of boker. This is not for children.Hella sharp. Do t look at it wrong.

Rattles and the lock sticks
The media could not be loaded. It looks nice and feels nice in the hand but the one I got rattled (see video). It's like one of the bearings was broken or something. And the liner lock would get stuck; it took two hands a couple of times to get it to release and I hadn't even cut anything. I just flipped it open and it got stuck like that.

Uncomfortable and Made In China
Had I known this knife was made in China, I would not have purchased. It does not say anywhere in the description the country of origin, but I had thought with the reputation that Boker has, they would have had it produced elsewhere. I will not purchase another Boker knife if this is where they are all produced. The knife came with the seals already broken, and upon opening, the knife had a slight chip in the cocobolo wood. I have requested a new one, but I'm still undecided if I am going to keep it. The edges are very sharp, and I can tell this is going to be uncomfortable to hold onto. One positive is that the blade is fairly sharp, but not razor sharp. It did cut through paper but it not as cleanly as I had expected.

Perfect EDC
The Boker quality is tops in craftsmanship and blade sharpness. This is the only knife I call, all the time.

Beautiful construction, painful to carry and use.
This is a well crafted knife, built with quality components. Sharp edge out of the box and nice smooth action. This is on the more stylish and slender end of the spectrum, I purchased it specifically for its low profile to fit comfortably in my front or back pocket.I have a major complaint, however, for anyone who carries a knife like this clipped to the inside of your jeans pocket. The angular construction, especially the bolsters, are near-razor sharp and make getting items in and out of your pocket flat out painful. Even handling this knife to open or use it is just too uncomfortable for everyday use.I liked the knife enough to hit mine with the Dremel to round off ALL the sharp edges and angles to better suit my needs. Not recommend for anyone who is looking for a comfortable everyday carry. For a collector or an aficionadoi suppose it's a fine specimen.
