BONE Run Tie 2, Universal Running Phone Armband for 4.7"-7.2" Smartphones

Great arm band that holds your phone well. The Velcro is so good that sometimes it’s hard to unstrap. Wished the arm band came in slightly longer sizes cause it gets too tight on my biceps at its limit.

## PROS: ## This replaced a much older arm band with a different design. I was hesitant, thinking the old design was better, but I was wrong. This design is superior. - The 4x "bands" on the corners make it easy for the phone (iPhone 13 mini) to be held/released and means most of the phone is exposed, which is better in my case. - I was worried that the metal joint would snag on clothing or pinch my skin but it doesn't and will probably never break. - The size/length of the band is good and adjustable. I'll probably continue using this band design (or maybe even its successor) for as long as I exercise with a phone. ## CONS: ## After about 9 months I started to notice that I couldn't make the band stay as tight around my arm as I needed. I had to readjust it frequently. Eventually I realized the cause was the Velcro detaching from the underlying band. I attribute this to: - Time and use - Wet/Dry cycles due to sweating After a little over 12 months of use, the band still worked but it wasn't ideal. That's when I contacted the manufacturer. ## PROS (again): ## I contacted Bone via the standard Amazon channel for contacting the manufacturer. They responded very quickly are were professional and friendly to communicate with. Despite it being beyond the advertised 12 months warranty, they were glad to fulfill a replacement without any friction. They asked a few standard questions. They wrote that I could send photos of the band but that it wasn't necessary. Once everything was confirmed they sent a replacement via Amazon at it arrived within 2 days! It's an exact 1:1 replacement of what I had. It's as if I purchased it again as new. -- Given that it's an exact replacement of the original, I asked them what I should do if this one develops the same issue as the original. They replied: > "we continuously monitor and improve our product quality, so the issue you experienced previously is relatively rare. However, if you ever run into any problems with this item in the future—whether in 9 months or beyond—please don't hesitate to reach out to us again. We stand behind our products and will always be here to support you!" That sounds pretty good to me. Hopefully future versions can fix this issue. (Maybe by sewing the Velcro to the band instead of using glue?) -- I highly recommend this product and company. I had the older v1 for 2 years then the armband needed to be replaced. I decided to try v2 instead of just replacing the armband. This version is nice because the straps do not interfere with the camera... if that is important to you. It is not important to me - thus, I like the older v1 style because it is a tad easier/faster to attach the phone than this v2 style. But this v2 style does keep the phone secure while working out or jogging. The velcro is very strong, but will wear out over time - again, the 1st one lasted 2 years for me. I'd definitely recommend this for a simple, cheap, secure armband for your phone. I am using an iPhone 15 with a protective case and have no problems with the fit.

I ordered this late June and used it a couple times a week and am careful to not over tighten beyond what is needed to remove bouncing and or cause discomfort. This was used with a Pixel 6 pro and 8 Pro phone. Positives: Holds phone well and keeps separated from sweat and works with many cases but not large blocky ones. Is easy to use and works well as a holder if you don't mind it being on your arm and is ok for a quick look but not prolonged use while active. The strap dries out well and is easy to hand wash and the rubber is pliable and easy to clean as well. I like the holder for late spring/summer as it doesn't add additional layers or warmth. Negatives: As shown the arm strap is already stretched on both sides and had to be placed in the "smaller arm" config to keep same level security. This was only after non abusive use in less then 4 months. I'm not sure if will purchase replacement bands which are now an option at about 1/2 the cost of a new one. I'm considering trying other options as the expense will add up having to buy 2-4 replacement straps over a year. I'm guessing this isn't covered under the 1year warranty either since it would likely be considered normal wear and tear sadly.

This armband is both simple and effective. I initially purchased the Bone Run Tie #1, which lasted 5 years, but the band finally lost its grip on my arm. I just bought the upgraded version and I am thoroughly pleased so far!

I really prefer this to the "pocket" style of phone holder. It gets hot and humid here in the summer, and my sweat soaks right through the neoprene backs of those pocket style holders and gets between the transparent window and the phone's touch screen, making it even harder to use. The four silicone loops that secure the phone to this holder have enough stretch to them to accommodate my Galaxy phone, even when it's in its waterproof case. So it stays dry, and the touch screen is easier to see and easier to access.

Great idea, but impractical for real use. The method to insert the phone is a 2 handed affair and only while remaining stationary. I canʻt imagine using this on a run. It doesnʻt come out easily. If you were to install it and only use it at the beginning and end of your workout it could work, but itʻs not easy to view periodically. Also, I couldnʻt manage inserting my phone with the band already on my arm, only before I slipped it on.

holder has been durable, i use it doing heavy yard work with no issues, its easy to clean, the elastic type of holder on the phone fits my phone with case perfectly, think about wearing hoodies and jackets when you pick out you sized strap

From deciding on a product to buy; to having it in my hand - was ridiculously fast - like 1.5 days!!! All just as expected. The belt is probably a bit too long but really well made. The pens were a bit trashier than expected but wow they were only 19$ and have seven different things, plus refills and batteries. The phone jogging strap is something I have been trialling its very handy. I can't quite text through the rubber straps but it makes it that your phone is right there with you. Unbelievable service. Thanks heaps to those who brought these things to me - amazing!!!!!

I just got this a while ago. Tried a few times and it does a great job in holding the phone properly. The only caution I have is for running off-road where lots of hand movements are needed - it seems the strap loses its grip and the band starts to slide down. Overall if it is just for road running and sprint, the band is good and holds the phone properly.

I’m a serious runner and this overpriced armband keeps my very expensive iPhone safe and secure. Velcro is sufficient even during sweaty runs. Tested in all weather and during 20 km runs.

Bought the Bone Run Tie 2 for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and fits well. Ran with it outside and no issues, my phone didn't fall off. Great Quality and overall great product. Highly recommend
