A valuable tent!
Nice tent. Easy setup, one person can do it. Very low toxicity versus most tents on the market, as it doesn’t use flame retardants or PFAS, according to a company representative. No p65. Kudos. Did not leak at all. Bone dry. With the fly on and zipped, it increases warmth well, so it is great for fall, and is a good bet for winter (provided that your other gear is also winter-ready). With the fly off, the mesh is generous and allows for summer camping as well. A true all-season tent in that regard— although if you need the fly on for rain in the summer you might get a bit hot. In cold weather with the fly all zipped up, you can expect condensation on the inside of the fly just from your breath, which is normal and manageable in a dry climate. You can change clothes inside but it won’t be super comfy to do that. Held up very well in very windy conditions. I would consider the amount of noise from the fly in windy conditions to be normal. The best part? It’s orange. And when the sun rises, you’re greeted with a beautiful, glowing, cheery orange light— just like a sunrise. It’s like an anti-depressant color therapy for mornings. Overall a solid bet, just a lovely tent, and at a lower price point than most other non-toxic tents.

Great tent and good value
I LOVE this tent. I've used it winter and summer camping- just came back from a two day trip where it freezing rained almost the whole time and it worked wonderfully. That being said if you're a bigger person it might be a smidge tight. I'm 5"5' and 125 pounds and I cannot sit up in it- so in the rain I have to get dressed laying down and sideways because if you touch the rain guard- everything is wet (all tents are like this so not a design problem just a small tent problem). The size though is great for hiking and having something lightweight and easy to cary. The stakes are good but you might want to keep some extras on hand just in case. Also, like all tents that depend on stakes to stay up- camping in rocky areas or places where the ground is really hard can be an issue, it also means you probably need to carry a small mallet depending on location. I totally recommend and would buy again!

Awesome 1.5 Person Tent!
April 24, 2016 (First use) Wow! Such a neat tent in such a small package. Super simple set up even for my first time pitching a non-freestanding tent. Looks awesome once its all set up. I was very surprised at how much room I had inside from side to side. Height clearance isn't really there though(as expected). I am 5'6, 170 pounds with wide shoulders... I was able to prop myself up on my elbow to do stuff inside the tent but could not sit up. This made rolling up my gear a pain, so I think I will stick with doing all that outside of the tent from now on (if weather permits). But even in this awkward position, I was still able to roll up two sleeping bags (one mummy, one standard) and my sleeping pad all well enough to fit in their stuff sacks. I was also able to keep my large backpacking pack inside the tent with me (at the head), which made my feet barely touch the end. A couple concerns I had were if the rain fly provided any kind of vestibule and if you could use this as a 1.5 person tent (fit a couple inside snugly). First: The rainfly did not really provide any vestibule other than to put my sneakers outside (leaning up against the tent). But I do plan on trying to manipulate how I install it next time to increase the size. Second: TBA... After trying it out by myself, I feel like I could fit my significant other inside with me without being too cramped. Will be testing soon. I spent the night in the mountains of New Mexico around 8,000 feet elevation. Temps got down to 44 F with some occasional wind gusts. The wind did not phase this tent one bit. And when I woke up, there was literally zero condensation inside, which was a great surprise. In the morning, it was very easy to break down and shake out (sand from one of my sleeping bags haha). The door position makes shaking out debris very easy and effective. Folding everything back into its original stuff sack was very easy as well. It was pretty obvious that this tent was made of very good quality materials and I was pretty happy with the purchase. May 3, 2016 (second use) THIS TENT CAN SLEEP TWO PEOPLE!!! Definitely a 1.5 person tent width wise... I took my significant other camping as promised and tested this out with two people... We are both 5'6 and we both workout (so neither are skinny), and not only did we fit, but we fit flat on our backs side by side comfortably and she had no complaints. How awesome is that!?!? We used two mummy bags (one Winterial and one SussieSport), no sleeping pads. I forgot to check the temps the next morning, but we woke up in snow. (2 nights later shows 29F low). And with this set up we were both very warm, comfortable with room, and had no significant condensation to complain about in the morning. The only moisture inside the tent in the morning I suspect was from the snow melting and seeping through the rainfly, BUT none of it came raining down on us as we got up and out of the tent - BIG plus! We did sort of cheat and use my truck to block the wind coming up the mountainside, so I can't comment on wind performance this time. Next up: Sand dunes camping. Will update as necessary!

Great three season tent
Hi, after doing hours of research I reccently purchased two of these tents for my kids. We live in South Florida and must deal with warm weather camping and LOTS of mosquitos and no-see-ums (very tiny and pesky knats with a painful bite). My criteria for a tent were as follows: 1. Dome style tent, with full rain fly to ground all around the tent. We deal with thunder stroms with strong gusts and dome tents take a gust extremely well. 2. No sleeve assembly (no running the tent poles through a fabric tunnel), only tents hooking to poles, which allows for super fast assembly. 3. A two door tent, which is very difficult to find in a smaller tent. Two doors allow for cross ventilation on warmer nights. It also allows for two people in a smaller tent to enter/exit without crawling over the other person. 4. Only two poles, cross over style, keeping things simple. 5. It has a "vestibule" type entry, giving you an easy way to get in and out of the tent in rainy weather, as well as extra exterior space protected from the elements. On our recent campout to the everglades, I am happy to say my 11 year old kids assembled this tent quickly and easily, with no fuss and it kept the mosquitos and no-see-ums outside of the tent. It is also light enought for backpacking. I did not find another tent that met my five requirements in my research at this price point....

Fits 2 adults and 3 dogs comfortably. We love this tent
What a great tent for the money. I havent camped or bought a tent in 10 years. We decided we needed a small and lightweight tent to take on a one night backpacking trip that could fit 2 adults and three medium/large dogs. This tent fot all our criteria. I was really impressed with how far tent technology has come. This thing was so easy to errect and probably took no more than 5 minutes. My wife helped but it can easily be a one person job. Take down took a little longer and as expected a little difficult to pack everything to the original size needed to fit in the original packaging, but not too bad. Maybe took 10-15minutes to pack up. Tent fit niceley on my large backpack and at approximately 4 pounds was very manageable. For those wondering about the spaciousness, the footprint of the 3 man is comparable to a queen size mattress. 2 adults can easily fit, but 3 would be a stretch unless everyone was very still sleeper and didnt mind touching the person next to them. My wife and I slept.side by side with one of our dogs between us and 2 at our feet. I probably should have bought the 4 man but was concerned with adding to much extra weight to my pack. But in hindsight wouldnt have taken up too much more weight. Still, I am happy how this one worked out and would squeeze 5 bodies in it again. The tent has 2 zipped openings, one on each side which made it easy to get up in the middle of the night without having to crawl over my wifee. The fly was easy to install and seemed like it would keep us dry, and definitely helped reduce wind blowing through the tent. We weren't too sure how the fly was supposed to be tied, or secured to the ground but we just zipped ut closed at night and propped it open with a tree branch during the day. The main supports are 2 lightweight plastic or composite poles that clip on to tent. This thinf was seriously a breeze to setup. I remember really struggling back in the day with all my other tents. There are 4 pockets inside the tent, one in each corner which was nice to put my headlamp, phone and glasses in at night. For what I know about tents, this Winterial tent was perfect for our needs. There were so many options on amazon and based off the reviews figured wed try this brand and model. It was a great price, lightweight, and easy to assemble. Could have easily spent 2-3× as much at a sporting goods store. Looking forward to reusing this tent.

Great tent for children, teens, smaller adults, and star gazers
THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE ORANGE TENT ONLY, THERE ARE AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT DESIGNS SOLD OF THIS TENT DEPENDING ON THE COLOR!!! First off, let me say that I loved this "tent". Tent is in quotations because it could be better described as a bug net with a floor. Don't get me wrong, it was great!!! I loved that I could sleep under the stars and still be inside a tent, we need more tents with this design! BE AWARE: I bought the orange tent, and my friend bought the lime green tent, they are 2 DIFFERENT designs. The lime green is much taller (you can sit up in it) and much longer (you can fit a 70L pack in it with a 6'1" man and have room left over). The orange, meanwhile, was definitely designed with children in mind. The lime green tent is also not a bug net version, in that while it does have some mesh for ventilation (in fact it's mostly the bugnet mesh), it also provides a bit of shade for you. Pros: 1. Easy set up, less than 5 minutes once you get it figured out. 2. Tons of ventilation. Seriously, it's literally an enclosed bugnet without the rain fly. 3. The rainfly WORKS. Rare to see in a tent this cheap. 4. Did I mention the view from this thing? Cons: 1. Provides no shade from the sun without the rainfly, and with the rainfly on it's way too hot. 2. If you put the rainfly on overnight, it WILL rain inside your tent in the morning due to condensation from your body heat. Don't use it unless you have to. 3. It's SMALL. I'm 5'7" and if my feet touch the back of the tent, my head will almost touch the front, anyone over 5'8" or 5'9" won't fit. 4. It's short, don't plan on sitting up in this thing, and that makes it a bit awkward to get in and out of. Over all, I give it a 3/5 for not separating the tent designs on the sales page, because I got rained on my second night out from bodyheat condensation, and because the length was misrepresented. All of this being said, if you live in an area that doesn't see much rain, fit the height requirements, and want to sleep under the stars, this is the perfect tent for you! Would make a great starting tent for children! Honestly, if it was a few inches longer and had a way to create ventilation for the rainfly, this would be a 5 star product.

It keeps me dry
I like the light weight, perfect for back packing. It packs very small and is easy to take along. It fits one person, I am 5'7", 145 lbs and I had enough room to store my empty back pack at and under my feet, with the contents placed around it. The rainfly creates a small dry area for hiking boots. My problem is that I am claustrophobic and with the rain fly closed during the rain it's anxiety causing. I call it my "coffin" tent. Another problem: there is not enough head space to sit up, one has to stick ones head outside the door in order to sit. Changing clothes in the "coffin" is a contortion exercise. Nevertheless I used it on several backpacking trips and it kept me dry during rain as an emergency shelter. Without rainfly it is very airy and keeps mosquitoes and other animals out. If it doesn't rain I sleep under the stars. I am still drooling over the big Agnes lightweight tents but the price difference for the few times I do go backpacking it's not worth it. I can recommend this tent to people who don't suffer from claustrophobia.

Nearly a Month on a Hiking Trail and Highly Recommend this Tent to the Right Person
DO NOT BUY THIS TENT UNLESS YOU READ THIS: This tent is designed for one person to take backpacking/hiking with them. It is NOT designed for comfort, it is not designed for two people, and it is not designed for people over 6 feet tall. Do not buy this tent if you want something you can spend waking hours "hanging out" in. This is a lightweight tent designed to keep you dry and mosquito free while you sleep, and it functions incredibly well for this purpose. I'm 5'11" and fit just perfectly in the tent - I could lay without my head or feet touching - but only barely. I had to be creative with my gear to keep it dry - there is space under the rain fly outside of the tent where I put my unloaded pack to keep it dry. This worked perfectly, and all my gear (unloaded) would fit around me inside the tent. I used this tent every day for 27 straight days on the Superior Hiking Trail. It kept me perfectly dry through 7 thunderstorms. This was probably my favorite product I had with me on the trip. The tent stakes are needed to erect the tent - it isn't free standing. In other words, if you'll be camping in the mountains, this probably won't work for you. I didn't have any problems on the SHT. WHO SHOULDN'T BUY THIS TENT? If you're over 6' tall, camping from your car, looking to spend waking hours (more than maybe an hour or two) inside a tent or camping on rocky surfaces, this tent isn't for you. Look elsewhere, you'll be disappointed by this. WHO SHOULD BUY THIS TENT? A hiker or backpacker looking to cut weight out of their pack will be absurdly pleased with this product. It will serve all the needs of a dedicated backwoodsman - it is high quality, durable, and keeps you dry out of the box. If you fall into the category of "cutting ounces from my hiking pack" and are on a budget, make this purchase. It will meet your needs perfectly.
