Interior Design Materials and Specifications

I luv it..... Each and every material and its specifications are explained very clearly and easy to understand ...... But cost is high .....But Can Start own business or higher studies in interior designer position ...... Thanks to author LISA GODSEY giving such informations on materials in depth 😘

The material content was excellent which I give a 5 star. . However, the physical book itself just completely came unglued. Each page dislodged itself from the spine. I think very strongly that this is a printing production error as all my classmates had the same problem. the actual product gets no stars. However, I have been assured that returning it will not be a problem.

I love and recommend this book. I'm studying Interior Design and this book is absolutely amazing for learning loads about the various materials. However, the quality of the book itself is very bad and shortly after starting to read it pieces start to fall out and the binding gives out. So, by now I have separate pages and bunches of pages but no longer a book - still love the contents tho. Binding should be improved, contents are ace!

Lost

This book is a required textbook for my interior design program. The chapters cover topics like paint/wallcoverings, carpet/rugs, window treatments, flooring, wood and more. Each chapter discusses "Key Terms", describes the material, how it is produced and characteristics. This book deals with specifying the materials so there is some discussion of costs, inspection, managing budgets and selection criteria. Each chapter has a specification sample form. Overall, I liked this book and there was a lot of detail. I especially liked the blue boxes that contained helpful tips and hints and "cautionary tales." As a first year student, we did not get into all the chapters, but I felt the ones we covered were in-depth and predominantly well-written. There are a lot of color photographs, which are always welcome. Overall I give this book 4.5 stars.

I rented this book for one of my courses and as I had no money to purchase such an expensive book, I had to return it after 3 months. I would love to buy it someday when I got a job lol. It has a lot of good contents about material and design and even though students don't like their textbooks I think I really need such a book in my bookcase.
