Good, but...
For what this product is, it seems to be really good quality. The aroma is very much dark chocolate but the taste is far lighter. Go 6 of the 6 to 8 min as 8 starts to get a tad bitter but six was not at all. The flavor is chocolaty but not actually chocolate flavor.I like it, at the very least it was worth trying. Its a unique tea experience, but its missing something for me. I can't quite tell what. Its slightly light on flavor but not bad. It needs some kind of partner.I feel like this would be amazing for several tea blends. But on it's own its not quite a wow for me. If you have a tea you want to have chocolatey flavor added to, this is the means of doing it. Most chocolate teas I hate because they taste like artificial chocolate flavor to me. This, however, is the ingredient to use for it.Ill keep giving it a try and see how if taste gets aquired.Deffinitely not disappointed I got it. Give it a shot!

One of My Favorite Teas
I drink a lot of tea. Caffeinated in the morning and herbal in the afternoon and evening. I love this one. I’ve tried other chocolate herbals and this one is the best. It has a very rich complex chocolate flavor. I like the cacao shell as it gives it a deep brewed flavor but the nibs give it a complexity and depth to the flavor. I like it with some sugar and will often add some milk foam as well. I especially like this in the winter time. My only complaints are the price because it’s more expensive than other teas I like and that it was out of stock for a long time. The price is definitely reasonable given its ingredients. I usually double steep it to get more value from it. I don’t double steep much because I don’t always want another cup but this one does really well with a second steep and retains most of the flavor.

This was recommended by my doctor for my sensitive stomach. I was so happy to find it on Amazon. I like the flavor and it really works!!

the answer to my prayers
So I have been sick with Lyme disease for 16 years and I can not eat many things because of this disease. I can not eat any sugar nor can I have caffine without a flare up some nasty nerve pain in my face. So I have not been able to eat any chocolate for so long and if I have the occasional treat I suffer terribly for it. So when I saw this tea I thought it may help to ease some of my cravings for sweets and chocolate. However when I received this tea it was beyond what I had dreamed for and imagined. It simply tastes delicious and tastes "almost" like real chocolate. I add a few drops of liquid stevia to the cup and that sweetens up the drink without adding any sugar. So when I have this drink it feels like I am having a nice dessert and I feel satisfied and experience a rich smooth robust chocolatey flavor. But the miracle is that this tea somehow tastes just like chocolate yet has no sugar and no caffine and does not flare up any symptoms. It also has no calories so it's a dieters dream as well. I have never even heard of a tea like this nor have I ever run across a tea like this in my entire life at any restaurant or deli. I never knew such an amazing product existed. I just happened to find it on amazon by chance! Thank GOD!!!

Too fine, leaves a lot of sediment. OK for bulletproof tea, but not sipping.
I had cacao tea in the Dominican Republic and fell in love. I bought some to take home. When I ran out I went in search of more on Amazon. Decided to try this brand. Unlike the one I bought in the Dominican Republic, which was just large pieces of husk, this brand is very small, fine pieces of shell plus nibs, almost powder. Even with a very fine strainer there is a lot of sediment left in your cup. I will use up this bag. Since I use it for bulletproof tea mostly, it works OK for that, but not for sipping. I will look for another brand in the future.

Best Tea Ever
I discovered this in Puerto Vallarta. There's a chocolate "museum" (well, that's what they call it) that will teach you how to roast chocolate beans, shell the, grind the beans into a chocolate drink, and brew the shells into the BEST tea ever in the universe of ever. Seriously wonderful. I bought a bag of tea there and was excited to find this on Amazon here. This isn't exactly the same product as what we bought in the museum, but the cacao was grown in the same part of the world.Boil the tea for about 5 minutes with a little sweetener. You can use sugar, but we use Erythritol, which is a little less sweet and has fewer calories. Then we pour it through a strainer. It's best nice and hot, but it's still pretty good when it cools off a little. I don't know how it tastes when it gets down to room temperature because it doesn't seem to last that long.

Would not buy again as it is
I agree with others that the chocolate/cacaoflavor is quite faint. The second time I made it I used twice as much as the label suggested and steeped for 10 minutes. The flavor was somewhat stronger, definitely more bitter. Part of the issue is comparing it to hot chocolate. Which it's not. It does have a similar flavor profile to unsweetened Hershey's cocoa powder. I put I teaspoon of Hershey's powder into hot water and it tasted similar to Micacao's. I do drink strong coffee, perhaps that impedes my taste buds. Micacao might be better if it were pulverized into a powder. I like that Micacao's is organic and ethically sourced. But the price is high for such a gentle flavor.
