Yes it does. You are dealt cards and the remainder go into the Attack machine. It is a very fun game that I play with my grandkids all the time.

Is this an upgraded version of the original attack game my old unit doesn’t work very well

I think it is an updated version BUT I don’t like it as well as the old one. The cards are not the same and the machine is not the same. I don’t know why the company decided to change something that we loved and played a gazillion times.
