Perfect fit
Not sure why the pool manufacturer would not include this in their package. Provides an easy way to cut off your water supply from the pool in order to clean external skimmer or do other maintenance work. So easy to install, fits perfectly and works like a champ. Highly recommend.

Cleaning filters are much easier now!
When changing/cleaning filters on these type of Intex pools it comes as a challenge due to the fact they do not come with valves to stop water from coming into the pump. I always had to hold the pump, the nut, the cap and the filter above the water level. And then also tighten the nut n cap back down while doing this. All to be done again in 5 minutes after I cleaned or changed the filter. No more now with this valve. This allows me to shut off water from the exchanges or intake sides. I did have to buy the adapter for pump and also a hose. See photo. I also bought a rubber plug for the return side so water would not come down into housing from that line. I only found out today that in the pump there must be a check valve on this side because the water does not fill the housing up from the return side. So I do not need a valve or a plug on the return. People complaining about this leaking one must know how the seal works. You can not tighten the nut when the valve is closed or open. Must be in the middle before tightening the nut that holds valve together. I made sure mine was tight before install and all is good. No leaks.

Does what it's supposed to.
Makes it easy to shut off both returns without having to put plugs in the inlets. I used it on a BestWay pool setup and work's perfect. One tip I will give; The valve has a threaded side and 2 sides with o-rings that have slip connections for the inlet hoses. When I initially connected I didn't pay much attention to the o-rings on the valve. The hoses have a little indention that the o-ring needs to sit in perfectly. If you just jam the hose on, the o-ring will get bent out of shape and not sit in the indention on the hose. So when you're putting the hoses on the valve be sure to move them slowly side to side as you're sliding them on and make sure the o-ring stays in that indention to seal properly. Otherwise it will certainly leak. Installed properly I give it six stars 👍

Definitely worth it❤️
Seen someone on YouTube using this. I thought to myself how great it would be if I didn't have to put the plugs in the holes when I change or clean my pool filter everyday. With this valve all you do is turn the flow off and do your thing, once done just turn the valve back to open position. Saves me so much time and stress with the upkeep on my pool.

Ideal solution
Perfect solution for connecting the sand pump to our 14' pool that came with a whimpy cartridge filter. Since my pool hose openings are still 1.25" this allowed me to add a stop valve and transition from the two 1.25" hoses to the single 1.5" intake hose to the pump. Zero complaints and our pool is finally crystal clear.

Perfect for our pool
While it was frustrating that this part did not come with our new pool pump, we were able to order it and receive it rather quickly. We love that you can shut off the water coming through the valve for purposes of changing pump filters and attaching hoses. All in all this is great product.

Great upgrade!
My pool came with the 300 GpH pump and died. I upgraded to the 1500 GpH pump and added this to my set up to make it easier to change my filter. It perfectly stops the waterflow when in the locked position allowing me to change my filter with ease and no mess.
