This stuff seems pricey for the small tin, but it doesn’t take much to do the job. Just a small amount is all one needs, and it seems to last all day. This tin should last a while. It’s unscented, other than the natural scent of the wax/oils that are in it. It’s not a strong smell though so it doesn’t really matter. I love the branding and the fact they include a guitar pick for digging out the wax. Those small details matter. I don’t have a “handlebar” stache right now, so I don’t need anything with anymore hold than this “medium” hold provides. This keeps my mustache in good form and tames stray whiskers. It’s a great wax and doesn’t need any prep. It seems to clean off easily, with soap and water. Will buy again, assuming it’s still available when I need to reorder.

Great and true medium hold wax! This wax is pretty hard. Heat helps alot, whether by finger pressure whiping or better yet, hair dryer. I dint have a hair dryer so I used a butane disposable lighter to hack the problem. It did harm up the wax so it applied great! Just what I needed! It last you longtime! However! after heating the wax this way 2-3 times, I noted a dendritic pattern of blackness radiating from the wax inside of the tin, 1/8" toward the center. Odd, so I dont think I'll do it again. Anyone of you have a easy way to heat wax without a bunch of todo?

I am new to mustache waxes and am searching for the right product for me. Several years ago I tried a wax that was not strong enough. With a newly grown mustache, I knew I needed something stronger. I order a super strong wax. The stuff was like tar. I had to wash my hands a number of times to get it off. It was a mess and very difficult to work. In addition, I have a white, not gray, mustache and beard at age 73. That stuff was very dark and discolored my hair terribly. I next tried some "paste" from my local Walmart. Awful stuff with no hold. So, after lots of searching, I ordered the Death Grip Bare Bones. It is still pretty sticky, but not as bad as the other I had tried. The worst part for me is that it does discolor my white hair a bit to give it a yellowish brown tint. Not good. I think for those without white hair, this would be a good choice. I am still searching. Currently, I am trying 3 different products. First, plain 100% beeswax. Actually not bad. It is way less expensive than most waxes and works just the same. Overall, I am still learning to work with it. Next, I am trying hairspray. I spray some on a comb and run it through my mustache. It dries quickly and holds well. There is no discoloration, and the hair looks very normal, not waxed. The problem with the hairspray is that it is water soluble and can be a problem when drinking. Finally, I am trying got2b ultra glued styling gel. I apply it with a comb like I did with the hairspray. I think it holds even better than the hairspray. While the mustache is stiff, it does retain the natural look, although not quite as natural as with the hairspray. As with the hairspray, there is no discoloration. Like the hairspray, it is water soluble, but I think it stays better than the hairspray. I would like to get comfortable with the beeswax. So far for me, it is just harder to work and get a nice natural look than the other options. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Works well, easy to apply with the included scraper and melts easy between the fingers with light friction.

The bare bones is the best! I'm blessed with the ability to grow a very thick mustache. But, dont particularly like the super thin curl to my stache (sorry just my preference). The medium hold of bare bones allows me to keep the mustache in a more natural controlled state. I can get the hairs to lay just as I want. A little goes a long way! Simply a perfect product for the style I wanted to achieve. And with their large selection of holds and products they have whatever you need for sure. Will be buying again!!

Not as strong a hold as some other waxes I have used in the past. But is marketed as a medium hold. Smell was a little strong for my taste, and the texture too tacky and didn’t really hold as much as I wanted even for a more relaxed look. Found I didn’t use it as much as I had hoped so not great value for money

Fine and dandy. V, expensive but does hold. Hard to get off fingers after applying.

Ordered the medium one as I didn’t want a hard strong hold. However, this doesn’t hold whatsoever, falls out in seconds.

Definitely not "death grip". Held for 1.5 hours max and then my mustache went back to its saggy hanging down state. Looked great when it worked though.
