UPDATE- I ordered a replacement and the 2nd picture is straight out of the box. As you can see 2 drawer fronts are broken and it’s missing 3 knobs. I will keep one and try to get one good one out of this. I would send it all back but my kids would be devastated to lose it at this point. If I could give it no stars I would!!I really wanted to love this. When I got it the numbers were wrong it have two 5 drawers. So the days went 1,2,3,5,5. The roof of the house is coming off and the knob on one of the drawers already fell off. I’ve asked for an exchange in hopes I just got a bad one.

Poor construction. It’s not wood... more like a pressed dense cardboard. 5 of the 24 drawers required re-glueing. The roof was not attached and had to be re-glued. Yikes! Not expecting it to last more than one season.

I love this advent calendar so much. I was worried when I read the other reviews and they came broken or with mis-numbered boxes, but mine came perfectly intact, and it is beautiful. It is delicate, and you will have to be careful. It’s simply made, so if anything breaks it should be fairly easy to repair. I added a can in the picture for scale, it will be perfect for the mantel. I’m sorry others have had trouble, but I really love this calendar, it is simple and beautiful when lit.

4 drawer fronts and one handle had already fallen off by the time it arrived at my house, so it’s not super, mega sturdy. 2 more drawer fronts fell off as I was opening all the drawers to see if anything else was broken and one of the inside drawers was broken. Not a huge deal, just fixed it with wood glue. Tons of strings from the hot glue all over the item, just pulled them off myself. Lots of glue globs at all the seams, I’m afraid to try to clean these up as it might take off the paint. My biggest issue it that a lot of the edges very noticeably do not line up leaving decent sized gaps mostly around the roof. Anyway! After fixing what I could, it does it’s job well. I put small pieces of candy in some drawers. Other drawers I put notes in for my kids to look elsewhere for their daily advent gift (kind of a treasure hunt). I just make sure they are super, extra careful when opening the drawers for fear that it might break. Kids love it and it looks super cute in my house. If it weren’t for the gaps plus the elbow grease I had to put into it, it would be 5 stars.

I was excited to receive Advent calendar as it was a gift for my daughter unfortunately when the item arrived 2 of the knobs of the drawer we off and the #9 drawer looked like the top thin piece of wood was stripped off. the wires on back of wall were poorly placed and though the outside was pretty it was not as i had expected. The ONLY reason that I did not return item is as it was Needed for the starting of Advent I had no choice but to make best of it as I would not be able to order or buy a new one that resembled it( my daughter saw one just like it on a Hallmark movie ) in enough time. So I was left with no choice but to make the best of it. My brother in law glued all loose drawers and fixed wires I could not do anything about the #9 drawer wood faded as that would have to stay. It looks great now, I am in hopes that with my good care it may last several years as I wanted item for a long term tradition. Thank you!

So stinking cute! Bought it and it arrived broken so I returned that one and they shipped me another one. It’s so cute and I love the little Christmas scene at the top with the lights. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because it’s fairly lightweight (not very sturdy) and the replacement came and the roof is crooked (see pic) but not enough to make me want to return this one too! My daughter loves it and I think it’s a decent value for the price.

I originally bought this to paint and decorate for my son, who is 3. However, seeing how beautiful it was lit up in it's original form, I decided to keep it the way it is! I may paint the handles of the drawers silver, but that's about it. The drawers are small (just like most other calendars), but I just put little notes in there and have the actual presents somewhere else. I love this calendar :) I will say, you have to be super careful with the top decorations, though, they are fragile if not careful!

Overall beautiful piece of work, but I had to actually glue #1 drawer as it was apart and the prefab snap ins were to loose to hold it. Also # 12 knob was missing from order. If you look closely at 12 you can see the crude knob I had to make, and paint. Better this way for me than sending it for replacement or refund. The wife says its okay so thats what matters. Just be careful as drawers are very thin.
