Great little amp!
OK - I modded it a little by adding the copper rings around the vacuum tubes. Buy this is a great little amp. Drives my Eltax Monitor III speakers well and interfaces with Alexa over BT and my 4K UHD TV via Optical connection. Obviously no surround sound. But really good sound. Good looking too and for the small home itโs nice and compact! No problems so far! Will see how I get on. Very basic RC but is does I/O, Mute, Function switching and vol control well enough. Overall I am impressed! Nice solidly made too!

Really quite incredible!
Really a little wonder of an amp here! after having owned it now for a few weeks Ive tried it out on a few sets of speakers at different wattages and ohmage from expensive Dynaudio speakers, some JVC speakers and some cheap 90s sony 3-way speakers and the amp performs amazingly with all of them and scales really well to the size, spec and class of speaker you are using. whether you are using audiophile speakers or cheap hifi speakers this amp is bound to sound amazing especially being able to dial in the woofer and tweeters with the treble and bass controls. The amp sounded MUCH better with the addition of new valves I installed some Mullards and the difference was night and day I would strongly recommend changing the stock valves immediately and getting some good oxygen free copper cabling both will drastically improve the quality. The amps sound is very open with nice overtones from the valves, the transient detail is really not bad at this price point and the tone controls are actually both smooth and not to hyped the treble or bass didn't sound artificial and on a natural flat sounding speaker like my Dynaudios I was able to boost and cut quite a lot without 'hyping' the sound which shows the quality of the EQ curve in the units bass and treble control. Now I knocked off 1 star for a few minor niggles: The left and right output on my unit were backwards/mislabelled left was actually right and the left was right I only noticed due to panning in one of my reference tracks being the wrong way round, a minor QC issue. The VU meter requires VERY loud levels to start dancing about. Headphone output at least on my cans was not very loud and the stock valves as to be expected were brittle and a little shrill. Overall, though fantastic sound quality and lots of bang for buck and a real fun bit of kit that has so much connectivity and function and can certainly kick out the volume! Highly recommend if you have never had a valve hifi before!

Brilliant chip amp
I have a few chip amps . I've built some from cheap boards and bought a couple by smsl I have a douk valve preamp. Their stuff is well made and durable This of note is ยฃ20 cheaper on Amazon than their eBay store at present. Looks wise, the combination of underlit tubes and orange backlit vu meter plus aluminium edged black dials looks very classy. It's tiny and mighty Sound , be it Bluetooth streaming Amazon music or Spotify sounds superb. Direct RCA in from my MP3 player also. You can switch using the remote or pressing the volume button I paired it with a set of "Roxel" bookshelf speakers. To be honest I had s set of wharfedales going spare but my wife wanted cherry wood look and these not only look great but sound good also. All in all for a bedroom amp or office amp ( our use) this is superb.

Another level...
I am not an expert or an "Audiophile" but I know what sounds good for me. Have been searching amongst the lower to mid priced sound systems and now amps then discovered my Douk Valve Amp. Connected it all together and switched it on thinking I may be disappointed again. How far from the truth could that be! It is an AMAZING amp chucking out a sweet sound. Have it connected to x 2 9.1 Wharfdale speakers which I "Bi-Wired". Was amazed at how many ways I can connect it to other devices. It comes with a Bluetooth atttenna and a direct hard-wire connector. It is tiny and fits in the palm of my hand. I love the retro look with the vintage looking VU meter and 2 valves.. Love it.

Great little amp and DAC.
I was a bit worried about buying this because some people were saying it clicks off arter 2 seconds of no imput but this has been exceeded ot ten seconds and is no longer a problem at all. This is an excellent little amplifier and DAC lovely clear sounding. Nice and straight forward to use. Just volume, bass and treble. I've got an echo link connected to it via coaxial input and it sounds better than a expensive hi-fi set up (when connected to decent speakers.) Bonus is that it's the same width and depth as an echo link just a shame the EchoLink isn't glossy with the same sort of knob would have been an excellent match. To sum up it can not be beaten at ยฃ100.

Fantastic, but....
I go thtis to replace an aging Denon AMP I'd had attached to my PC - the feautres, build quality and perhaps most importantly, sound quality are superb - the inputs are extensive, the remote useful, controls clear. As perhaps an "entry level" valve amp, the richness and detail of it's output revealed things I'd never heard before in some music. However, there is a snag - it has over agressive power saving cutoff - about 200 ms of "no input" and it switches off with an audible "click", which repeats when the input re-commences. This is monumentally anoying - it happens between music tracks, or if I'm trying to compose some music and just have a break for a moment <cerlick>. Then there is a delay when it comes out of power save - so if used as a PC sound amp, you get <cerlick> then the last say 30% of the notification sound. Not approriate and it seems, not configurable. If that was corrected, it would be a well desreved 5 star purchase, but with it, it's 4. I'm going to move it to running HiFi speakers in another room where the constant <cerlick>s will be less on an issue.

Issues.
Lovely sounding amp but when it started to malfunction I got no help but just excuses from Nobsound. I had to get a refund through Amazon in the end. The messages are ridiculous. I was unable to turn the amp low anymore without it trying to switch to Bluetooth mode and the vol was unacceptably high for general listening. Nobsound suggested I turn down the source (not easy on a CD player or turntable) or get another amp to adjust the vol. They said there wasn't a fault even after I sent a video. Won't be buying from them ever again.

Great bit of kit
love this little thing, all the inputs you could need. Drives my Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's well enough. Nowhere near 100W per channel though, more like 50w if that. Sound output is much louder on some inputs than others, the BT input is the lowest so might annoy you if you really like listening to music very loud (like 100db or higher). I turned mine into a pre-amp outputting to a more powerful chip-amp and very happy with sound quality for price. Its a great DAC-AMP all in one receiver. And the tubes works, they aren't just for show as i removed one during playback to test (not recommended!) and the sound cut out of one channel ;D
