Had this for 4 months now. Going to break down the features. Currently running latest update and settings set to default. I have noticed stability improvements within every update. This review is based on January 2022 firmware.Music - 4/5. Spotify music sounds great. Once in a while, tiny skips (not huge problem). Slight delay when switching songs. This can be change in settings to make it change faster but the chances of song skipping increases.GPS - 3.5/5. If I’m listening to the cars SiriusXM, works great. If listening to Spotify through CarPlay, it at times can get a little wonky. I’ve found if you pull your phone out and unlock it, the gps will recalibrate. If you take a call and don’t switch right back to gps screen, can get a little wonky but unlocking phone will help recalibrate. Even though in the options there is a gps toggle and my car has built in gps, manufacture confirmed it will always use phones gps. Overall still worth using and the minor headaches are worth it.Phone calls 4.5/5. Really no issues at all. Reason for .5 deduction is when entering your car and you are on a call already, it will sometimes connect without issue but sometimes will drop the call.Siri 5/5 works great. I’ve had no issues. Great having Siri.Car controls 5/5. Works with all steering wheel buttons.Connectivity 4/5. Loads very fast. By time I reverse out of the driveway it’s up and running. 10-15 seconds. I would say it connects without issue 95% of the time. If it doesn’t, a simple unplug and plug back in fixes the problem.Overall I would recommend this adapter. The minor hiccups are worth not having to plug in your phone. Once in a while you will run into an issue and an unplug and plug it back in will fixed the issue. Use it in Ford with sync 3.

I’ve tried two of these units in my Seat (so it would be the same for Skoda, VW, or Audi). It connects with in about 30 seconds. Maybe once in 8 times you need to pull the USB Lead because it is stuck. When it works it is great, but Waze often gets stuck on its last parked place. I have found no real fix for this. It usually requires a reboot of phone and sometimes the unit.I’ve now had this for a number of months. It still requires pulling the usb lead every few starts to reboot it. I still have issues with Waze and haven’t found a way to make it work, a reboot of the phone usually fixes it. However, I use it every time I drive instead of only longer drives. I wouldn’t be without it, and if you haven’t got wireless CarPlay hardwired, it is the best solution I’ve found

- settled on this device after much research and deliberation- things that i looked at prior to purchase were detachable wire and this being the fastest to connect- after using it for a month or so i have some thoughts- mostly it is very positive- pairing was hassle free and took around 2 mins in total- my phone connects to the car in under one minute every single time without fail- this is the same time it takes me to sit down in the car and put my seat belt on and start committing to driving off. By the time i have done this is its connected- not a fan of the UI- on occasion i do get , pauses, chewbacca noises. Does it disturb that particular instant? Yes. Does it disturb the whole experience that this device brings? No.- it is not perfect. If its perfection You’re looking for look for wired connection.- had my whole system freeze up entirely for 5 mins but only on one occasionOverall i would recommend this device :)

I love this wireless CarPlay, but after just about 1 year, it keeps rebooting itself.Very frustrating. I wish it lasts longer.Now I will have to look for a new one.

I purchased the OTTOCAST Official Wireless CarPlay Adapter as I was fed up with plugging my phone in to use Apple Play. It works like a dream.I plugged the device into the car’s USB port, and it automatically connected, now, I just get into the car, with my phone still in my pocket, and 20-30 seconds later Apple Play is displayed.When my partner uses my car, her phone connects in exactly the same way. Easy!!I would highly recommend the OTTOCAST Official Wireless CarPlay Adapter, for ease of use and value for money.
