The media could not be loaded. I have oily skin type and I have to avoid oily shower gels and body creams. But I was surprised to see this isn't actually an oily product!It has a sweet smell to it and leaves a fresh citrus after smell on the skin. For this reason I wouldn't really class it as a shower oil before sleep. Never the less, the oil becomes a milky texture and nourishes the skin without leaving it feeling like you've use oil on it. It rinses very quickly which is great when you are in a rush and there is no oily feel to the skin when drying with a towel. This is great for oily skin leaving it soft and with a lovely subtle smell to it. This is made with 100% natural products which is great to know.One thing I have to say about this though - it will go down very quickly if you use it under running shower. Best to use it according to the directions on the packaging. Not being a heavy consistency like a shower cream, it washes of very easily if you apply it under the running shower. Best get your body wet, turn the shower off, apply the oil then turn the shower back on and rinse it off. You get to save some water in the process as well and help the planet so win win!

I've used some Neal's Yard products in the past and liked them but I do find them pricey, so rarely buy them.I had some trouble with the pump on this one. It flew off! Not sure if I overturned it or what but it took me a while to get the pump working and you do have to pump a few times. I tried this on my arms only as I do have sensitive skin, so wanted to make sure I had no adverse reaction which I didn't.It goes on as an oil and then foams up. You don't get a lot of foam, certainly not as much as my usual Dove shower cream. However, I liked the smell and could still smell it after showering. At first I didn't think my arms felt any softer but after an hour or so I could feel how soft they were.You can also use it for shaving.The RRP is £16.23. I do know that Neal's Yard website often have offers on if you buy bundles so you could probably get this cheaper in a bundle. I wouldn't personally pay this price as it's out of my price range for a shower item but it's a nice product and the bottle is nice and made from recycled plastic.

I gave this to my daughter to try and she loves it. She loves the fragrance, it’s very strong and super relaxing. It’s the usual high quality product that you come to expect of Neals Yard. She said that it’s really nice to have a shower product to help with sleep as it’s usually bath products, and with trying to save water and energy it’s good not have to use the bath to relax.It’s also really good to use after the gym or a run in the evening, as it helps to soothe muscles as well as the mind. It’s a light oil that goes milky in consistency when it becomes wet and it easily rinses off leaving no oily residue. She thinks that she would prefer a gel as she could then use it on a sponge to feel extra decadent. However, the oil is good to massage into tired muscles, I suppose the strength of the scent is down to it being an oil. This gets my daughter ‘vote’ so I’m very happy to recommend it.

It was sent with the lid not screwed up properly and the lid in the open position so it has leaked into the cardboard packaging. What a nightmare and hugely disappointing!

I actually use mine as part of my bathing routine and it’s always a lovely self care experience as well as nourishing my skin and locking in moisture. Good quality oil and also a good size. Worth every penny! Highly recommend

I’ve recently discovered that I much prefer a shower oil to a shower gel, so I was very excited to try this one.It comes in a glass bottle with a pump, all of which will be recyclable once finished. What I like about Neals Yard products is that they are ethical and they only use natural/organic ingredients.My disappointment came when using the oil, sadly it’s just not as good as others I’ve tried. The oil doesn’t lather up very well, so I needed to pump more from the bottle 3 or 4 times to cover my entire body. I feel this bottle won’t last very long with needing so much oil per shower.The scent is pleasant and not overpowering and my skin did feel soft after my shower. Due to it not lathering up well though, I didn’t really feel like I’d had a good wash.The price is quite a lot, but I think it’s important to remember you will always pay more for top-quality ingredients.Sadly I wouldn’t buy it again due to the fact you need a lot per application and it doesn’t lather up enough for my liking.

The smell of this shower oil smells awful and tbh i have also got the wild rose shower oil also which smells nothing like the creams, it also smells awful! I think the shower oils are a little pointless and also smells bad which is a shame as i love neals yard. I hope my review was helpful

This Neal's Yard shower oil contains various oils to maintain healthy and hydrated skin. A little oil goes a long way as it transforms into a luxurious milky lather. The texture is divine, the fragrance is just such a rich deep comforting scent.I used it yesterday evening before going to bed and it left my skin feeling clean as well as deeply hydrated. It made my dry skin so soft and supple and lightly scented. I was hooked!! It is very nourishing. After the shower, you don't need any moisturiser or lotion.For anybody who hasn’t used shower oil before, don’t worry it doesn’t leave a slick around the shower tray or leave you greasy. It also doesn’t cause any problems with your towel. It’s a very light oil, all you’ll notice is how lovely your skin will feel.
