Excellent display
Cheap, good colors (shockingly better than my ultra wide Samsung panel, and its not even close) 120 hz, what's not to like?120 hz mode doesn't not work with Xbox series x/s due to Microsofts poor compatibility. Not scepters fault.

Great Monitor
I was using an old 1440p 144hz monitor. It’s now my secondary. I got this for myself and one for my wife. I’m exceedingly pleased; much better than my old monitor. Free sync works great, the picture is much better than my old monitor, the menus were intiitive, I liked that mine came with DP cords, and the free magnetic screwdriver was appreciated. If you’re looking for a good monitor that won’t break the bank, get this.

Quality Monitor with One Small Catch
This is my initial impression of the Sceptre IPS 27" QHD monitor. I will update this review a month later after spending more time with the product. As a quick preface, I primarily use my computer for gaming, programming, digital art, browsing through social media, and watching videos; and I purchased this monitor to replace an LG 27MP33 monitor as my primary screen in a dual-monitor setup. The box arrived in good condition, and so far it seems like a very solid monitor for the price (the cost I paid was 149.97 USD on Black Friday, 160.47 USD after taxes). The default color settings are vibrant; the refresh rate feels as smooth as my Galaxy S22; it's very bright without much of a noticeable underglow as IPS screens tend to have; the stand is surprisingly heavy/sturdy; the tilt (~5 to ~15 degrees) is generous; the on-screen-display has a very navigable menu with a quick start category to quickly change the most important settings; the rear lights can be toggled off; and the screen quality is delightfully crisp! I can fit two windows side-by-side without it feeling cramped in the slightest...And the speakers are useful for troubleshooting I guess, but do yourself a favor and use dedicated speakers/headphones with actual sound quality. To reiterate, this is a very solid monitor from a brand I didn't know existed a month ago. However, there is one small wrinkle that made me drop a star, which is the quality control for some of the parts. I noticed the neck of the stand had scratches and a smudge on the metal part -- which isn't itself a deal breaker since you will never see it during use. However, whatever manufacturing process Sceptre uses also led to some kind of pixel anomaly in four spots on the left side of my screen (see pictures attached). I'm inclined to believe its dust rather than a dead pixel, since the visual effect is the same as dust before I wiped it off the screen. Whatever the cause, I know that sort of blemish is enough to turn people away from a product, but a) its only really visible with a white background, and b) I make such a point of mentioning it in the hopes that Sceptre can improve their process and deliver the perfect budget QHD monitor. In summary, if you want an affordable QHD monitor for productivity, entertainment, and gaming, and are willing to deal with minor quality issues or having to deal with customer support/warranties (I registered my product but haven't felt the need to speak to any representatives yet), then this is the monitor to buy.
