It works
I have had this card in my PDA now for about two weeks. Installation was straight forward and card does work as advertised. I am using is with an IPAQ 1940 running v4.2 of pocket PC.The Good:-installation was simple-card recognized with no problem-it has expected range for something so small - and in general I think the range is very good-works everywhere I have tried - my home network, public hotspots, etc.The Not So Good:-using activesync can be hit and miss - sometimes when I plug in it works and sometimes I need to eject the WAN card and reboot the IPAQ - I can't say I have spent too much time getting to the bottom of this and the workaround is not too much trouble-I do find myself resetting the IPAQ more often then before the card, but this is not because the system has crashed but because it has stopped recognizing the WAN card - again, I have not spent much time troubleshooting this and I do not find it that much of a problem, just a little inconvenientMy final thoughts on this are that it works great, it's not perfect, but I paid about $20 for it and it was way cheaper than buying a new IPAQ with built in wireless networking.

Works quite well with HP iPAQ rz-1715
While I have only had this for a few hours, I am very pleased with this product. It only took about five minutes to install the software, and perhaps 10 minutes to connect it to both of my wireless networks. I did have a little problem with entering a manual 128 bit WEP key, as the entry box would "time out" before I had a chance to enter all of the characters. Entering the key manually in the connection setup solved this problem in short order.I ordered the SDW-820 over the faster SDW-821 for a couple of reasons. The iPAQ rz-1715 is not the fastest hand-held PC, and my Internet connection is far slower than 802.11b, so going any faster is really not worth it. I suppose if I wanted to stream video on my local LAN the '821 might have been worth it, but who does that with an iPAQ rz-1715?I am VERY pleased with the delivery time. It was ordered on Thursday and arrived on Monday. This is stellar service in my book! I will not hesitate to use buyGPSnow.com in the future.

Works perfectly with old HP IPAQ 1940
I figured this $35 card was worth the price if it turned my 5+ year old HP IPAQ 1940 PDA into a free wireless device. The SDIO interface worked perfectly and the software installed on my Windows Mobile 2003 device without error. It found my WEP secured home wireless signal and quickly connected after I entered the security code. It has also functioned well around town at various coffee houses with unsecured wireless. The biggest challenge was that I had to do a bit of fiddling around to install a decent web browser (Opera 4.2) on it since the old IE was pretty outdated. Various web sites helped me in this regard. Overall, this card did exactly what I wanted it to do.

the product works fine, it has trouble connecting sometimes. I dont really understand how come i can connect with certain networks that dont have real internet access.nevertheless when i pick up a good wifi network that i have access to via bluesocket, it works like a charm.excellent alternative to EVDO as long as u have accessible wifi

works with iPaq
I got this for my HP Ipaq rz1700. Installing the driver thru my computer wasn't hard and I was able to get the card to connect to both my home wireless and the network at my office. It does drain the battery quickly, but that may just be because my PDA is 3 yrs old. Overall, I'm happy. I just bought it as a toy.

Good performance
I have been using the product during two weeks connecting to different wi-fi structures in Europe and USA, and it has always worked fine. What more could one ask for? Perhaps a lower price, but in this connection SPECTEC product is much cheaper than devices from other suppliers.

Does not work with the Dell Axim 5
It said the wireless card worked with the Dell Axim 5 and it does not. So, we have spent almost $40.00 on something that does not even work. My son, emailed the company and they said sorry it does not work with that device even though amazon on-line recommends this as an add-on to purchasing the Dell Axim 5 and specifically states it works with it.
