There are no volume isssues we can use both headsets at the same time and we can not hear any reduction in volume at all. Highly reccomended

Inexpensive but durable
Inexpensive but works great. It allows us to monitor new agents and hear both sides of the conversation. We also use it for training purposes on agents that have been with us for awhile and need a "refresher" course. Durable, stands up to abuse, never had an issue with the functionality. I actually ordered several more so that they don't have to share as much. Sound quality is great and we didn't notice any issues at all.

great for training
We ordered these to use when training new customer service reps.The mute button allows the new employee to listen in and ask the veteran employee questions without the customer hearing. Additionally, the veteran employee can be muted and give guidance without being heard when the new employee is on a call.Installation is quick and intuitive and we have used these with handsets, headsets (wired and wireless) and a combination of both.

Great For a Few Days but has Faltered
Started out as a wonderful adapter. But after a week started to hear blow back noise of some kind. Could just be that this was a faulty item. It's not the telephone itself, because when I removed this adapter and connected the cheaper Telephone Training Adapter Y Splitter for Headset or Handset for Nortel that I ordered at same time, there is a wonderfully clear connection now, and even though the cheaper one has no mute switch...it still gets 5 stars from me because of its clean, crisp sound. But I kept this adapter primarily because when I speak into it, there are no complaints from others I am speaking to....so the sounds must be heard only on my end...so keeping it as a backup. Using the adapters on one Plantronics S11 base connected to my landline phone, and the two headsets that would ordinarily be plugged into the two Plantronics base go into this adapter...allowing two people to train and/or work side by side and use only one of the bases. Plantronics said, when asked, that one could not use two headsets on one adapter, but obviously...it is possible....I am doing it right now.

It just doesn't work well. It has fluctuating volume, the mute buttons seem to short out. It seems very poorly made.

Works well with plantronics headsets we use at my work. Excellent for training my new staff!

Training Switch Adapter
I highly recommend this adapters, especially if you are going to be training on the phones. It splits the conversation, without interrupting your trainer. The mute bottom is very handy. Just plug your Training Switch Adapter to the main telephone, and with a pair of headset and you'll be ready to be trained on the phone in any area of customer service.

Arrived on time. Works exceptionally well and I was surprised at that considering the low cost! We used it for training purposes at my workplace.

OK for a small Customer Service dept.
As a company, we were testing this product to see if it would meet our intermediate requirement for a training aide.This aide works well enough to allow two people to listen in to a call, on most days. My real issues come from the quality of the product, it doesn't always connect well, often you hear static or cannot hear anything at all. We would recommend this product for a small company, but not for a large CS organization.
