A cliffhanger I love it can’t wait to read the next book and find out what really happened to Alicia but I love the push and pull between Aurora and Johnathan

I hated cliffhangers before I started reading Rina Kent and I despise them now because why (I know all the books are out but still)

First of all let me say something, yes Daddy... that's the best way to describe this book. Jonathan was an ass in the Royal Elite series, but man this book gave him so many layers. So in short yes Daddy.

Reign of a King by Rina Kent is book one in the Kingdom Duet. It follows the story of Jonathan and Aurora. This is a dark billionaire romance. It is also a forbidden romance in a way. It ends on a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more.

I struggled to keep reading at times, not sure why, I just got bored sometimes. I think it has to do with how much I have absolutely hated Jonathan through this whole a trilogy so far, and he’s not helping himself in this book. So if you like Jonathan maybe you will or did enjoy this book better. I still have to go to part 2 and see what happens next, so we’ll see. I do really love Aurora though, I feel as though she is being taken advantage of way to much by Jonathan, and Aiden is just being Aiden of course and doesn’t want to even listen to her side of the story and feel any empathy for her. At least Levi is being descent and Astrid and Elsa are being kind. Anyways… this book was really good, I just personally struggled to get into reading it, and then continuing, but I pushed myself because I’m truly curious how it will all be solved. I give Reign of a King ⭐️⭐️⭐️3/5 stars.

Rina Kent's writing is an obsession I will never tire of , and this family tree with all its innerconnected branches sucks you in from the first word.This is 4.5 amazing stars of dark suspense, my only wish is this was available in one omnibus or one book . I didnt want to put it down.Tropes :This book was so forbidden in all its delicious sinful parts. Aurora is the much younger sister of Johnathan 's deceased wife Alicia . The Age gap of 17 years was a huge red flag as Johnathan remembers her as the little sister hiding behind Alicia on their wedding day hidden behind white tulle as a "wild child"Johnathan is definitely a Pleasure Dom who is trying to break Aurora and get her to submit. Submit to him in everything, but Aurora is a surprising challenge to him offering contingencies to "punishment" quid pro quo that becomes her breaking him little by little .Aurora's father is up for parole ; he was a serial killer she turned in for murder, and somehow Alicia's death may not have been the suicide that was believed.Rina Kent needs to come with a warning label that you will need to cancel all plans because once you start one of her books , you won't want to stop till the whole series is complete.🌶🌶🌶 spicy scale

Getting to see inside Johnathan’s head in this first book didn’t fully convince me he’s worth redemption for his poor character performance in the earlier series. But I have a feeling the second duet will convince me otherwise. I love a good villain.

I knew there was more to Jonathan’s story but that ending threw me for a loop! Can’t wait to dive into the next one!!

Jonathon wasn’t a main character in the other books but he might as well have been with how loud his presence is, so to read this book is a whole new level of intensity.Everything about him screams authority and demands respects with no tolerance for anything he deems foolish.He rules & controls with an iron fist, it’s his way or crush everything in his path so everyone falls at his feet, including Aurora, or so he thinks.Aurora, formally known as Clarissa is Alicia’s half sister.Tormented by her own past she ran and didn’t look back, for eleven years. Aurora herself is a fireball full of defiance & refuses to bow down to Jonathon’s demands, making her a worthy opponent in this twisted game he started with a very indecent proposal.The chemistry between these two is page burning; his intensity & her defiance makes for a sinfully delicious time❤️‍🔥The mystery surrounding Alicia is both so intriguing and suspicious & I can’t wait for the conclusion in Rise of a Queens🖤

oh my god Jonathan and Aurora are amazing together! loved the chemistry and the back and forth! just going to dive into the next one

Aurora's story is very intense and good with connections and hidden truths. She's a survivor, a runner and a visionary.

This awesome works deserves an applause..Rina Kent knows when to pull out gutwrenching material and when to make them sob
