Thick and stiff as compared to China made which is soft and out of shape. Def worth the money. Comes is a box with bubble pack (not folded).

Good quality for the price
I ordered this black top hat for my husband to wear as part of a Charles Dickens era costume, and it worked out perfectly. It arrived in good shape, and it has held its shape since wearing it to the event. We plan on going to the same event next year and the hat can definitely be used again and again. Considering the reasonable price, I was surprised by how good the quality was. In a cowboy hat, my husband would wear a 7-1/4. This hat was slightly snug on him but not uncomfortable.
