Sent it back
The alarm it self is easy to set up, but the window sensors did not fit my windows, and the tiny fob that came with it had a flat battery, it didn’t look that good, and you can’t control the base station manually, I mean you can’t just press a button to say your out when leaving your house it’s all controlled via the app which is no good for my family, my kid and husband would not bother,we’re has if they had to simply press a button before leaving the house they would, so I returned it, and to be fair Amazon were very good with refunding me

Major issues switching off/on resulting in false alarms
I've had this for just over a week, and while it was easy to set up (especially with the included adhesive pads - even when the door shape means the sensors couldn't be flush) and looks good & well made, it has some MAJOR problems.Disarming the thing is highly hit and miss - with Alexa sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, it doesn’t reliably tell you if it HAS worked and ALWAYS it takes significant time - not good when the doorbell's just gone off. The app will randomly log you out so you need to use your password to do anything. And that’s assuming your internet isn’t down. The only semi-reliable way to disarm is the remote - and only one’s included.I've grown to be thankful of the massive security flaw (the button on the front silences the alarm) just because it goes off so often when it shouldn't. The thing's loud enough when it goes off in the same room as you I guess, but nowhere near enough to alert neighbours - no option of an outside siren or even additional inside ones. This makes it pretty useless as an actual alarm system...It really needs some kind of keypad so if your phone’s out of battery and you don’t have the (single) key fob with you, you can turn the thing off. Or if the doorbell goes in the morning you can answer it without setting off the alarm. As far as I can tell there's no way to change the iPhone notification tone for the alarm itself - so when your phone beeps you have no idea if it's your house alarm going off or yet another stupid ad from something like the Kindle app.Other than the app there’s no way to tell if it’s on or which mode - this would be a far more helpful use of the always-on LEDs on the base unit than just whether it’s connected to Wifi. Having the blue ring always there next to the Echo dot just makes me think something’s activated, and while you can turn the LED off completely this removes any use from it whatsoever. If the app’s going to log me out for no good reason at least let me use Touch ID to get in again!Examples: the first morning the doorbell went off while I was in bed and I had to TRY to disable it via Alexa while going downstairs to answer (first time it said the code was wrong, second ‘something went wrong’, third it said it couldn’t confirm if the alarm status - thankfully that time it had actually worked so when I opened the door it didn’t go off). Using the app’s fine if you know you need it and the internet’s working AND it hasn’t logged you out, but not if it’s a surprise. The remote only works if you remember where you left it, and leaving it by the door is asking for a burglar to notice and just turn it off - plus there’s only one so doing that means you can’t use it for anything else. Then I set it off by accident on New Years, opening door to see fireworks, and took ages to find a way to disable it as Alexa didn’t want to and my phone was upstairs. No fixed ‘disarm’ points mean when it does go off by accident it’s a MASSIVE pain. The only way to do so is the insecure button on the front - and if you have a motion sensor cue standing really still while trying to get into the app on your phone or getting Alexa to actually listen...Overall it’s easy to set up and looks good, but REALLY needs more work.

Brilliantly Simple
Before the product arrived I received an email from the company giving me lots of information and contact details if I needed help with setting up- which I thought was a great touch.Order arrived when expected.Husband spent a couple of hours reading the manual- which I think really helped- to make sure he understood where best to place sensors, how it set up each device, how to set up with Alexa.Once he was au fait with that he put the sensors up- took less than 30 mins! The units have serial numbers that display in the app but these were easily renamed to match their location. The app is very straightforward, easy to set up and intuitive to use. Easy to arm or disarm the system from the app, as it is by using Alexa. With the help of our 10 year old son we have tested every sensor (including one of the outbuilding) in both Home and Armed mode. So far, so good and at this point would definitely recommend.Great value for money.

Understand your phone
I managed it even though I am 84 years old. The only criticism is that the screws for the door movement sensors are a bit too long for fitting to a wood door and the head of the screws is too small for most screw drivers. I would like one or two more motion sensors that will be available in the New Year.

Internal alarm
Easily setup and stuck everythingbip as I didn't want to drill the wall yet. Sticky stuff works brilliantly they have been on the walls and doors and heating full on and they are still there. Alarm sound is loud although I wish the had an outside bell as well. Still worth the money and it's nice to leave the house and know I will be alerted when someone is trying to get in.

This has a neat appearance when fitted and fitting is very simple with no complex and clumsy wiring to deal with.

Unfortunately I sent it back it wasn’t as good as what I expected the app on ios kept on freezing and I to uninstall and reinstall it again to work but when it worked it was fine and could do with an outdoor siren and a keypad and the sensors post to be pet friendly I’ve only got one small dog even on the lowest setting it kept going off so I went for another alarm and I have add no problems whatsoever
