when i use my soundbar connected to the splitter for my sky box i have to mess about with the plug on the end of the box that goes into my soundbar for it to work and you only have to move it for it to not work properly I would nt recommend anyone to buy it

Used for splitting signal to two receivers
Clever design. I use it to split one TOSLINK into two for A/B testing of AV surround systems.However, I didn't think it through. The long TOSLINK cable from the TV won't go into the single end side. You also need a female to female TOSLINK adapter for that. Luckily I already had one of those.The female side has some weird connectors that are impossible to see what side is "up" -so one has to try, hard, to see which way it goes in. (God knows why TOSLINK have oriented contacts? One of the worst design decisions ever.)For going the other way, you'd have to be sure only one source component sends light at a time. Turning something to standby may not actually turn off the light. Probably a less useful usage scenario.

Easy to set up and connect but the sound is not in stereo and sometimes the sound from both speakers were inconsistent, coming through one speaker and not the other. So I decided to return for a refund.

This product never had that brilliant sound quality I bought it in April 2022 and it stopped working in July lasting less than 5 months don't buy it

Toslink Splitter works perfectly
This Toslink (SPDIF) splitter works perfectly splitting the audio from my tv to feed two amps at the same time. No loss in optical signal. Very good value.
