Works with Toto bowl
I bought the Geberit tank carrier to pair with a Toto bowl. The tank is a a 1.6 gallon and the bowl is rated for 1.28 gallon but they work fine together. I wish the water level in the bowl was higher though.

Amazing wall toilet paired with a Toto Bowl
I spent hours looking at options for our lake house half bath and am very happy with this toilet. We paired it with a Toto toilet Bowl: Toto® Ep Wall-Hung Elongated Toilet Bowl With Skirted Design And Cefiontect, Cotton White - Ct428fg#01The flushing works great and is powerful and the toilet doesn’t give us any issues with stuff on bowl. We are very happy with the purchase.

Exceptional customer service
I somehow managed to make an error cutting the waste line for the bowl and there was a leak. I called and explained my situation to the customer service and they had no problem sending a replacement part immediately and free of charge.I only wish that they could make a system that fits between the standard 16 inch on center studs that are common in homes that’s why I can’t give it five stars.

Great space saver
We recently remodeled our beach house, adding a bedroom and bathroom where there was originally a family room. We were tight on space and not thrilled with the bathroom layout that our architect had initially proposed, specifically the toilet location. I suggested a different layout with an in-wall tank and pocket door, moving the toilet to the side wall just inside the door. This transformed the bathroom and allowed for a much bigger vanity. The traditional toilet now seems archaic to me. The europeans have been using these for a long long time. We are as usual late to the game.My plumber was not familiar with these wall mounted tanks so I installed it myself and he plumbed it. If you are a decent DIY it’s not that difficult, just make sure you frame the wall accordingly to fit the assembly. You can download the specs.I did use a Duravit 2227090092 toilet which I have mixed feelings about. I seems to get black growth under the rim, especially during warmer months. My other conventional toilets don’t have this problem.I am getting ready to do another petite bathroom. I am going to try the version for 2x4 frame construction. The price has increased about 25%, but it’s still cheaper than the other options. The toilet has fallen slightly in price. Don’t forget the trim kit. All in with toilet and trim budget about $700-$750, again comparatively affordable to other wall mount systems. It’s space saving benefits do come at a cost. For me it was well worth it.

Excellent quality, easy install
The biggest advantage of this type of toilet/tank installation is the saving of space, and that made a nice difference in our small inner bathroom. Our experienced plumber has installed many wall-hung toilets but had never used a Geberit wall tank before. He thought this tank was the "Bugatti" of wall tanks - he really liked the construction and the mechanics. We had an outside wall 2x8 cavity to work with, so there was plenty of space to insulate behind the tank and frame as well as in front of it (frontal insulation not shown in the attached picture). We doubled up the 2x8 studs on the sides to stiffen the install and we couldn't get the frame to deflect an iota. The plumbing was very easy for the plumber to connect. The only caution I can share is that when you are finishing the wall surface, the threaded rods for hanging the toilet extend out from the face of the wall quite a bit and it's easy to catch your leg, arm or head if you aren't careful. Maybe stick a tennis ball on those or have some band-aids ready to go.

Having a lot of problems with the actuator and stuck ...
Having a lot of problems with the actuator and stuck valve. About 1 flush out of 3 does not reset the pins and toilet runs continuously so water supply has to be shut off. Now, after latest incident, can't reset pins at all. To be honest, I don't think our installer was very proficient at installation and he said that he couldn't ask for replacement parts or assistance because "after all, you bought it on Amazon rather than one of my retailers." I'll provide an update with my experience trying to resolve the problem with Geberit.

Very well made...I wish I had put these in the other bathrooms.
So my architect wanted me to use these in all three bathrooms. I said no to wall hung toilets...too much of a pain. Well as it turned out a floor framing mistake I made forced me into this wall hung, and now I wish I had done them for all of the toilets. Not really intuitive to install...you must be able to read and follow very detailed instructions....But if you can do that they really aren't hard to install. The finish product looks great and the flush mechanism works beautifully. I have this carrier paired with a Toto bowl and the setup is perfect...

I love not having to clean behind the toilet.
I love not having to clean behind the toilet. Wall-hung toilets are the standard for toilets in Germany and I am now happy that I have one in my bathroom. Geberit is a quality manufacturer that has made wall-hung toilet carriers for 50 years and I have good faith that this wall carrier will last a long time. We installed this as part of a full bathroom remodel as it requires opening walls and possibly relocating plumbing. As we needed to do that anyway in order to add plumbing for a bathroom upstairs, it wasn't any additional work. We chose the Toto Aquia toilet to go with the wall carrier and there were no issues with fit. Our toilet is solid but this will depend on your installation. Stud frame walls will need to beefed considerably and the wall board will also need to be stronger than dry wall. We chose cement board under 1/4 beadboard paneling. Whoever installs this needs to do additional research about installation as the installation instructions are not that great. I think the reason why the instructions are lacking is that German construction doesn't really include wood stud framing but relies on steel stud systems that are secured into masonary walls.
