P-Line CXX-Xtra Strong 1/4 Size Fishing Spool, Smoke Blue

The line went on real very nice and has the transparency I was looking for with a downrigger line targeting salmon in Lake Michigan.

Ocean fishing primarily Southern California. Dependable and supple, this color tint seems to get bit more for me. Runs a little bigger than the others in its class.

I ordered a bulk roll of 2700 yards of 30lb test that I use to spool on my saltwater fishing reels for the summer. These smaller spools are perfect to throw in my tackle box just in case I get Spooled by that big tuna!! This line is fantastic, it hasn't failed me yet and I have used it for the past 3 years when fishing out of San Diego CA for Yellow Fin, Blue Fin and Yellowtail. I caught 3 40-45lb Blue fin tuna on my last trip out and this handled like a champ. I usually will use about a 4-5 ft. Flourocarbon leader with this and it ties nicely with the leader. I really like the smoke blue color of this line as well. I wish the open party fishing boats would require everyone to use Monofilament line, seems like all the tangles and problems come from those who fish with the braided lines. When I am fishing I just stay away from those using braided lines because they waist the whole time untangling from their messes while I am catching fishes!!

Really big fan of this product. I use it in both places I fish; fresh and salt water. Very sturdy. Very durable. Highly recommend. Great price too.

I have bought 30 lb and 40 lb ,so I bought the 20 lb because of the strength and good luck I had with p-line did not ever lost a fish while using this line Thanks
