A more economical substitute that takes the place of the original LEGO Base Plate

Good for displaying loose sets
Functions perfectly, but be aware that the bottom of the plates lack Lego connectors. I.e. you can easily place Minifigures/build on the top of these plates but you cannot raise the platform with Lego without it being loose.

Lego Building Foundation
According to my six year old grandson, you can never have too many Lego base plates. He uses them as foundation for his creations and wherever grass is supposed to be. He's a happy camper. The price is right and they fit with all his other Lego pieces. They're easy to attach and take apart.

Warped
Every one of them was warped to the point it was pretty hard to get blocks to stick. The Lego brand was much better here.
