Spray patterns for this turret wand include center, cone, fan, shower, angle, flat, flood, mist and jet watering. With those nine spray patterns, this turret wand is fully adjustable to fit all of your watering needs. The ratcheting head rotates 180 degrees, making for a highly versatile product, and the lever fireman grip is great for easy adjustment of water flow.

Review: Excellent water wand for garden or greenhouse - Was a lifelong Dramm user, but after a few items that didn't last as long as I expected, I gave this Orbit water wand a try. I'm pleased to say that it met or exceeded all of my expectations. Although not commercial grade, it's built substantially enough that it should last for years with proper care. Both the trigger valve and the water flow valve appear to be of good quality brass and function smoothly. The wand tube is a medium gauge aluminum - certainly a good deal stronger than the house brand big box types - and has a standard male fitting on the end to allow for maintenance or replacement of the metal rosette. The trigger is also a stamped metal part of decent thickness - it doesn't feel flimsy at all when in use and the valve action is quick and leak free. In fact, I've had no leaks at all in the several months I've used it in two hobby greenhouses and a backyard garden - almost a notable feat compared to budget wands. The plastic overmolding on the grip has a firm feel and nice texture - it's easy to hold for extended periods of watering. There is a soft neoprene sleeve with finger grip molding on the lower end of the tube to aid in balancing the wand if this is an issue - I don't find it necessary but it may be helpful for folks with limited grip strength - the trigger can be locked in the on position and the water flow adjusted to your liking first and then you can hold the wand by the soft grip instead. This could be especially useful for watering overhead baskets as well if connected to a lightweight hose. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and function and have found very little to quibble about. I consider it a great value for the cost and expect that with moderate care, it can see many years of good service. I haven't checked the manufacturers website if replacement parts are available, but it does appear to be reasonably repairable (gaskets, seals, rosette) and the wand is threaded onto the trigger body, not swaged like budget types. In any case, Orbit does back it with a 1 Year warranty per the packaging. Solid buy.

It is light and easy to handle, but still has a nice, solid feel to it. The trigger works well, and I really like having a separate flow regulator. I can dial it down to give seedlings a light watering, then dial it back up for established plant watering. Zero leaking on the connection or the trigger. It replaces a wand I paid a lot more for years ago, and out performs it. Five stars.

**Q: Regular Users - Months of Use: Still working good? Reliable? Leaks? Other issues?**
A: Worked great for 1 summer & started to leak after storage in winter; leaks profusely at the ratcheting lever, as well as at the connection to hose. I see from other reviewers that this is made for only one season, sadly.

**Q: Can the head be angled 90 degrees upward so that the spray moves perpendicular to the wand, away from the wand?**
A: The head rotates 180°, from 90° (perpendicular to the handle) forward to 90° backwards (also perpendicular to the handle). It does not rotate to spray down towards the handle, i.e. so you can spray down into a hanging basket.

**Q: what are the spray settins?**
A: couldnt remember off the top of my head, but this was on the first comment:We bought this wand for the 36" length (wanted to reach a back tier of plants), but after receiving it we liked it so much as a general-purpose hose attachment that we got a 2nd. The spray patterns are surprisingly great. The "shower" mode is pretty much optimal for quickly and gently watering potted plants -- I don't think you could devise anything better. The "mist" mode puts out a very fine mist, the "jet" mode shoots a narrow beam of water a long distance. The "flat" and "fan" modes put out thin sheets of water which are good for efficiently watering narrow rows of plants. The other modes are "flood", "center", "angle", and "cone". I'm not sure why you would ever need "cone" mode, but "flood" mode is useful if you want to fill a watering can without a lot of commotion, etc.The fireman-type lever is easy and effective -- basically you pull the control yoke to the volume setting you want and then it just holds that level -- simple, and no need to keep squeezing it like a pistol grip.If you use this as a general-purpose hose attachment (like we do) be mindful is that it is indeed 3 feet long, so when you coil up the hose at the end of the day you have this long attachment at the end. We don't mind but something to think about. The other drawback we found is that this thing is an absolute kid-magnet. "Jet" mode is the problem. In full-throttle jet mode you can shoot water onto the roof of a 2-story house, or across the street onto the neighbor's lawn and the wand has a lot of torque in this particular mode. We have had to impose multiple time-outs for unauthorized "watering". This is a fun tool to use.

**Q: Good for Gutters???**
A: Presuming you will be on a ladder it might be difficult to use the longer handle even with the great flexibility of the sprayer. If I were to use on gutters I’d get the shorter unit to be able to get close in to the gutter. You can’t lose as they are the best sprayers I ever used.

Last 3yrs, pretty good for the price. It has spring a pinhole leak on the aluminum pole that puts out a surprising amount of water.
