Q: can you operate this just using the left hand? i can't use my other hand at all.

Yes you could. Might be a bit tricky to set up using the menu though.

I am left handed so it can be used with both hands. But to be honest I wish I’d never bought it. Charging it is a nightmare and the photographs aren’t fantastic. Waste of money

No,it doesn’t zoom. You get 400mm equivalent optical and 800 digital. It’s also crap.
