Used for years
Same design as usual. Great light and great for many things. It gets hot. The glue strip will not hold. It needs a mechanical holder. The real problem is that the wires are 30 ga. Hard to work with. Tested around the farm. The ones that stay on ,last much longer than on/off. Two in the bathroom are almost as bright as the main lights. Been on for three years now.

These LED's work great as long as you dispose of the aluminum shield or insulate the solder joints.
I see people saying these catch on fire or short out and it's because the black aluminum shield they put on shorts where the wires are soldered. They didn't insulate the solder joints. Other than that these are the same LED's on others sites that are used for various things. I did short one out during testing before I figured out what the problem was. As long as you dispose of the black aluminum shield these are fine. I bought them to make night flying kits for large R/C planes so I wasn't going to use the shield anyway.

Alright guys, here we go. Firstly regarding the wires that come with the lights, yes they are Thin and Short, but they also LIMIT the amount of current the lights can draw, for example, around 3watts using the small wires and potentially 6 to 10watts OR possibly more if using something like 20 or lower gauge wire.This would account for the lights getting abnormally Hot, thicker gauge wire means the likliness of the lights pulling more power, more power obviously meaning Brighter and more heat generation..So as mentioned in other reviews, a DIMMER is recommended, and or a heatsink.Hard mounting them when possible is preferred over using adhesiveSecondly, this applies to ALL Styles/Various wattages of these lights, not specifically from this seller but from all sellers of this style of light. Ive been buying this style for a number of years now so i knew what to expect from them.Hope this helps.
