A very nice knife for a traditionalist that checks a lot of boxes
This is a nice "gentleman's knife" meaning it's great for cutting your apple for lunch, slicing cheese, topping strawberries, cutting your boneless chicken breast, opening boxes or cutting cord. It's not a heavy duty knife made for rugged daily use. If you like to pry with your knife or beat the heck out of it with a baton (I don't), look elsewhere. This has a thin blade.Otherwise it's a very nice knife in the vein of an Opinel and those comparisons will be made here. In the posted photos, there is a carbon steel No. 8 Opinel with a beech wood handle (top) that I have had for many years, then the MAM liner lock folder (middle), then a No. 7 stainless inox Opinel that I keep on my home desk (bottom). The MAM is more akin to the No. 8 in blade length, but feels similar in weight to the No. 7. The second photo shoes the thickness of the blade at the spine compared to the No. 8.If you prefer the round, smooth shape of the Opinel handle and like the collar lock, this Mam is not a necessary purchase for you. I got it to use as a paring knife in my ultralight travel kitchen kit because my wife prefers using a paring knife to most anything else and favors the flat geometry of the handle vs. the round Opinel. The MAM's liner lock button does protrude into the handle's working area a little and the lock is activated with a left-handed action vs. the right handed action most American knife makers use. I don't think much about it, but it is something to note as it took a minute for my muscle memory to catch up.So do I recommend it? Absolutely. It's a great budget friendly, traditional knife for light use, pocket carry and for those who don't prefer the round shape of the Opinel. It won't attract attention at the office because it's small and useful. I am glad I got it and see it finding a place in my kitchen bag for peeling and slicing for my wife's small hands. Also would make a great, flat pocket carry knife.

Not bad, but not strong enough for everyday
I was a bit skeptical on this knife at first. After reading other reviews, what sold me was that this knife is light as a feather. Now the overall quality is about average, it's all lightweight material and I'm a bit concerned about its durability over time. Definitely a cheap knife that will do its job, but I don't see it lasting more than a couple years.

It is comparable to an Opinel with a thinner handle and better blade geometry
Really light weight and sharp knife that is quality despite its inexpensive price. It is comparable to an Opinel with a thinner handle and better blade geometry.

A really nice, workman quality knife.
The linerlock, as everyone has referenced, is a little awkward and takes some getting used to but it's a 'cheap in price' but not 'cheap in quality' pocket knife. Personally, I really like the shape of this particular model over the other MAM options. Normally I'll carry a Douk Douk or Higonokami, so it does feel a little bulky in comparison in the pocket.

all knives were 5 stars my issue was not being patient enough to wait to talk with a representative, rather than a computer that being said , will contact during business hours with the hopes of speaking with a representative .Thank You William Wade

Straight up garbage knife
This is a dollar store knife that is being sold for $15. Avoid at all cost! The knife I got has extreme side to side and up and down blade play. When I wiggle the blade I can see the pivot and lock wiggle along with it. A straight up junk knife. Get yourself an opinel instead. I have a few of them and they are solid and worth every dime.

Opinel is better.
blade is thin. lightweight overall. a decent work knife for light jobs. at this price it won't hurt your feelings if you lose it. Opinel is better.

Leichtes Messer, ordentliche Verarbeitung, relativ große, sehr scharfe Klinge
