This wifi antenna works well when it works at all which is about 50% of the time. Fortunately, Amazon gave me a full refund. I wouldn't recommend that anybody should buy this WIFI antenna and the manufacturer should be ashamed of themselves for making such an unreliable product.1/4/24 Update...After my original review, the seller contacted me and send me a free, new WIFI antenna. I have done massive testing with both the original WIFI antenna that I purchased and the free one that he sent me. Here are the test results. Both WIFI antennas were equally terrible in the first test. I then called my internet provider and had a service person come here and give me a new router. Once the new router was installed and the password was entered, I ran another test. This time with a new router, both of the WIFI antennas performed very well. I should also mention here that the new router is in a separate concrete block building and the WIFI signal had to go through a concrete wall and and the wall to my house and the router is about 50 feet away from the computers that I was using. Considering the distance and the two walls, both WIFI antennas made it possible to get the full speed that I was paying for as if it was hard wired to the router itself. Here's the moral of this story. If you're having trouble getting good speed, try a different router because some routers interact well with this WIFI antenna and others don't. The old router that was replaced functioned perfectly and was within specs, but didn't interact well with this WIFI antenna. I'm not sure if it made a difference, but the new router only puts out a 2.4 MHZ signal and the old router put out both a 2.4 and 5 MHZ signal.

The unit worked fine initially, but appears to have quit working approximately four months after purchase. The unit no longer powers on when connected to the USB port.I am revising this review, because the problem was caused by a software issue which I have since resolved. The unit is working fine, as expected.

Had issues with a desktop continuous disconnecting from wifi, plug and play easy install, affordable and works fast, signal way stronger than built in cards. Will buy again if needed.

Gets a better signal than the last one and is slightly faster

Actually makes signal worse somehow. When not plugged in I was receiving down speeds of 9-12 mb/s. With the antenna activated, down speeds dropped to 7-8 mb/s.Curiously, upload speeds were somewhat improved with this antenna. But the drop in download speeds didn't cut it. Returned for refund.

My modem and router have always been located in my basement office for years. Our internet speed lagged and suffered on our main level while on our devices and streaming shows on tv.Well, we got the modem and router moved on Thursday to the main level. This was a great move and our download and upload speeds are where they should be.However, my PC in my office had “NO” internet connection until I purchased this little device on Amazon for $35.99. I ordered it on Thursday and it arrived on Saturday.It plugged right into a USB port on the back of my PC and I was connected!Plug and play. I only had to locate my router and put in my password. That’s all it took. No other set up or configuration was needed. It is super fast!!!I now get a great WiFi signal in the basement office. What a very cool device. I highly recommend this should you find yourself in my same situation. I wish I had done this sooner.

I have a 2 story house, the router is on the first floor on the south end, and one of my boys is upstairs on the North end, bit of a challenge to reach that distance.After I purchased my Nighthawk router I was thinking my sons would finally get a good signal, but no. I went through 3 different brands of extenders to no avail. Purchased multiple USB wireless adapters, one with an antenna. I saw an ad for the AC1900, thought it looked cool so got it for him. Not only does it work perfect, I got rid of my extenders! No more running through the house every time a storm knocks the power out to reset everything. The best part I liked is this thing has a cable that reaches the PC, so you can set this thing on the desk.

Failed to pickup signal in our basement from our top floor, switched to a competitor and im getting 5 bars and 500mbs instead of 40mb/s and dropped signal
