Loved this book and enjoyed the language used to describe the characters, the places and the action. I have just read three Colder Shaw books in succession and thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all of them.

I like Jeffery Deaver but this book is part 4 of 4. So you really should start with the first one to get the full gist of the story. If not it is still a good story even though it refers to past events quite often.

Brilliant read, enjoyed it.

Having read the first two Colter Shaw books, I was looking forward to the third so much I bought in in hardback (something I normally only do with Lee Child or the latest J K Rowling) rather than waiting for the paperback version.This third book fell into the same category (for me) as one of John Grisham's - Calico Joe - which was that it was simply too American. I'm afraid archaic American law, UIB and Endgame sanctions were lost on me.I've read and enjoyed most of Jeffery Deaver's books but in this book he uses the crisis, followed by the explanation so often the story simply loses continuity. The first crisis in The Steelworks is explained about a third of the way through the book, and it simply breaks up the storyline, and this happens again and again.I did, however, enjoy learning more about Ash and Russell Shaw, but again began to find it irritating when Colter was more and more often referred to as Shaw.I'm wondering if this is going to be a trillogy, as the 'happy ending' doesn't seem to leave anywhere to go.

Lovers of deep plots will enjoy this book. Denver has written a brilliant story with complex characters and several great story lines that mingle well. Add to the mix a credible underlying quest and a super villain, and you get a really good read.Well done to all involved in producing this book.

This is a decent finale to the story begun in the first book. Good plot, interesting characters, bursts of action, intrigue. Well written and moves along at a good pace.My only criticism is that, while not a bad thing for the hero to be ahead of the game most of the time, Shaw gets out of some scrapes too easily. Still, worth reading.

Really good book good price

Finishes the trilogy well using the same urgent writing as the first two. If you’ve read them already it’s a no brainer, and is easily worth the time to do so.My main negative would be that it doesn’t adjust from the small villains of the first two, to the larger threat that his father had uncovered.

I really enjoyed the book. Very twisty and turney in the plot and the mystery. I have been devouring this series after watching the tv series. Eager for the next story.

Jedenfalls kennt sich Russel mit Waffen genauso gut aus wie Colter.Jeffery Deaver hat mit unheimlich vielen Wendungen und falschen Fährten einen atemberaubenden Pageturner geschaffen. Alleine wegen des nahenden Todes der Familie ist das Lesen ein pausenloser Wettlauf gegen die Zeit. I love Jeffrey Deaver because he never takes the easy route. His characters are believable and his stories keep getting better and better as you turn a new page.I am only just getting to know Colter Shaw, and this story about him is a winner but left me with a tear in the eye because of the final page!I have already ordered the missing book of this series and can't wait to get it in time for the weekend.I can't think of anything better than to sit down with a good book and this is sooooo good! I know you will enjoy it 😉

I am 100% pro Deaver, but this book really delivers. I found it hugely gripping and was almost surprised when I remembered it was a Deaver book at the end as it felt like someone else's style of thriller. He's a true craftsman.
