Q: Will these actually fit regular size 14, 16 or 18 inch teddy bear?

This is Oatmeal, my favorite bear, who is wearing the cargo shorts. He is about 16" long if you lay him down and they fit him fine. Depending on the girth of the stuffed animal, the waist might be too big. At first, I just safety-pinned the back, but then, since I can sew, I reduced the amount of elastic in the waistband and they fit perfectly now. These shorts are very well made, was so surprised at the detail, the belt loops, button, velcro-closed real pockets with grommets on them, a hole in the back for a tail, so cute and Oatmeal says they are comfortable too.

Q: Will it fit a 8 inch teddy bear?

I think they would be way too big for an 8" bear. As you can see, Oatmeal is 16" - they fit him, but if he were any smaller, they would be way too long and big in the waist. I will tell you that these are great shorts, lots of detail, real pockets with velcro-close and grommets on them. Highly recommend for the right size of animal.
