Superb reading light, especially with older eyes. Easy to assemble - intuitive, actually - and a really nice stable floor lamp that gives you exactly the kind and intensity of light you want. And the company was really great about replacing the used one I bought that had a small problem. I've had the earlier model for years, it's still working fine, and I'm giving it to my granddaughter for her jewelry making. I bought this Brightech Litespan LED 2nd Edition Reading Floor Lamp to replace my father's similarly styled flourescent lamp that no longer worked. This lamp is totally superior to the older one in virtually every way, and comes with a three-year warranty. It arrived packaged in a well-cushioned protective styrofoam container inside a sturdy cardboard box, which itself was inside a normal cardboard shipping box. It has three light colors to choose from (6000K, like bright noontime sunlight; 4000K, like cool white flourescent lights; and 3000K, like warm incandescent light bulbs). Each of these light colors, once selected, is dimmable from extremely bright to low. A single push button switch accomplishes the selection and dimming functions. The light remembers the selection, so it will come on the next time the way you previously had it set. The LED's are covered by a frosted diffuser to eliminate glare. The lamp is well made and sturdy, with a nicely weighted base to keep it stable. The head is adjustable in every direction. The pole consists of three threaded sections that are screwed together, and one section could be left out to make it shorter if desired. For assembly, the only tool required is a Phillips head screwdriver for a single screw at the base. Assembly instructions are included with a simple to follow diagram, easy enough for almost anyone. Note that all three pole sections are different and must be assembled in the correct order (as shown and explained in the instructions). Just be certain to screw the pole sections tightly together straight, without crossthreading. Everything should easily fit together so that the dividing lines between sections almost disappear. Line up the hole in the bottom section before attempting to put the screw in. Total assembly time was about five or ten minutes The back of the assembly instructions provides directions for operating the lamp to get the various colors and dimming levels from the push button switch. After a minute or two of reading the directions and experimenting with the switch, most people should have no problem using the light with their own preferences. I liked this light so well that after giving one to my father I ordered another one for myself.

Bought this lamp to use beside my recliner for extra light. It was a perfect fit. Just the right height and the on /off controls are in just the right place for me to reach up and use. The goose neck is very sturdy and holding the lamp head very well. I did not have an issue of the lamp head sagging at all. It has great stability as the base is very heavy. I have mine sitting on low pile carpet and it does not lean or wobble at all. The electric cord is a good length for me. The light is very bright in it's highest mode but can be dimmed to a softer light which is a nice feature. This also works very well. It went together very quickly. I think a problem some people are having during assembly is they may be "cross threading" the poles when they are putting them together. Just take your time and screw them together straight on. You can kind of feel when its going on right. The only dislike I had was there was only one screw holding the base to the pole. There are two drilled and tapped holes in the inside adaptor that holds the pole but only one hole in the pole to put in the one screw. I don't know why they did not go ahead and put in a second hole in the pole and supply a second screw. The way it is now the one screw holds the pole to the base but there is some "play" in the pole which I personally think puts some strain on the one screw. I may drill a second hole in the outside of the pole to put in a second screw. My suggestion is if you buy this, after assembly, pick up the lamp by the pole with one hand and the base with the other. Other wise this is an awesome lamp that I have been searching for a while. I may buy another to use in my workshop as it is very portable. Hope this helps others make a decision to purchase.

My wife "borrowed" the lamp beside my reading chair for her needlepoint and I needed a replacement. Ordered this product for the features, size, and positive reviews from others. Now, after two weeks, we are fighting over who gets it and who has to use the old one. What we both like best: 1. It is bright. The top end lumens was something important to both of us, and this lamp puts out the brightness we both wanted. 2. It is dimmable. Nice to be able to throttle back to reduce eye strain. 3. It has different warm/cool light settings. This was, by far, the best for both of us. My wife is a photographer and something of a "photon snob". She *hates* most LEDs because they don't have that warm, incandescent glow. This lamp has a warm light setting that is just right. Not too orange or green. Very much like a good ol' Edison light bulb. For me, I use it to study. I have found that with warm light I have a hard time seeing my yellow highlighter. With this lamp, I switch to the cooler blue setting and the highlighter pops. The reviews didn't say anything about a "night light" on the lamp, though. Convenient for finding the switch at night, for sure. And it is verrry subtle and dim. For those like me who need absolute dark to sleep well, just be aware of the feature. Not a real negative. Sturdy, solid weight, went together easy. Would buy again!

This is my third floor lamp -- all identical. We love them. One is in a guest room as a reading lamp. One is in my Dad's room, as a bedside reading lamp. And the third, is by a sofa -- again for a reading lamp. We love that it is adjustable, giving precise lighting where you want it. We also love the height -- perfect when sitting in an am chair, bedside, or on the corner of a sofa. The only negative is that it seems the manufacturer changed the way it is put together. The screw that feeds into the bottom was quite difficult to line up. Other than that, assembly was breeze and we are very happy with the lamp. I would recommend to anyone needing a reading lamp.

What a nice light. Easy to use. Heavily constructed. It replaced one that worked well but did not live a long life. Time will tell about this one that is supposed to be long lived.

Great lamp for when I’m crocheting or reading. So many different light shades to choose from. Love the size of the lamp too. Not to be big. Very sleek. Very happy with purchase.

Very nice, well made, easy to assemble, easy to use. Gives great lighting and doesn’t take up too much space. I do jigsaw puzzles and it’s perfect lighting for any crafts.
