During my 3rd trimester of pregnancy I was having a horrible time going back to sleep after the repeated waking up due to physical discomfort. My OB recommended this to me and I have seriously slept SO MUCH BETTER. I still wake up because of hips hurting or shoulder pain or whatever is my current pregnancy ailment, but I go back to sleep relatively quickly after I reposition my body. I don't really understand how this is working, but I honestly don't care :). It gets me to sleep!

All 4 CDs are great for supporting the brainwave activities as you can look up on many websites - Alpha for relaxation, Beta for outer concentration (with it I'm more effective at boring tasks, yay!), Delta for sleep, Theta for meditative awareness. So far the one I have used most is Beta, which is ironic because when I ordered I thought I would use it least! Not as appealing as the others but yeah it makes boring tasks much more tolerable and doable. I love it that the brainwave patterning sounds are combined with relatively simple nature sounds that are unobtrusive and relaxing.

I loved the sounds of nature on the CDs. But what I loved most were the feelings of calmness and focus after listening to the CDs. The Sleepy Ocean Delta CD is wonderful to listen to while getting ready for bedtime. I would highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble falling asleep.

Yep, works! Puts me to sleep or in a relaxed state each evening! Just can't go wrong with Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's CD's!

I've purchased several of Dr. Thompson CDs and I have loved all of them.The nature sounds on this CD are very soothing and relaxing.It's a mini break on a disc.

The Sleepy Ocean CD really makes you drowsy, and the Gentle Rain Cd to a lesser extent. the Rainforest CD is stimulating. I would highly recommend these CDs.
