good value, works well.
Agreed- it is thinner than some others, but -it is sturdy and you can double it up if you want to. You get 30 feet for only a little more than you would get 6 individual strands elsewhere. do the math- even if you have to double it up- if your normal cord is 6" each that is a foot per snare drum, so this is 30 snare drums at single or 15 snare drums at doubling the cord. That is 5 times as many as the little pack of 6 cords. You can also control the length since it is a continuous roll.It is important (I have had bad snare cord) however- it is only cord....lol

Have always used snare string.
Got a new Ludwig Supraphonic. Have previously used an Acrolite from 1980 that had string holding the snare wires. The new Luddy had Mylar straps. Did my preferred tuning and was getting horrible snare buzz around the edges. Replaced the Mylar straps with this string and pretty much eliminated the buzz. Not sure if the Mylar straps just transfer the vibration in the shell more and the string absorbs it more. Who knows, but for me it’s string on all my snares from now on. I’ve had the same string on my Acrolite since 1980 with no trouble. Can’t go wrong with anything on a Ludwig snare.
