Q: Turf tends tear up my pants, how do these hold up against turf?

Bought these for my son. He is 10. They were delivered less than a month ago. After just 4 games on turf they are torn down to the pad. Very disappointed for 70$ pants.

Q: what size for is a match for youth size 12 or 14?
