OzeriTouch Professional Tempered Glass Digital Kitchen Scale, White

Liked it at first, but started noticing that if you weigh the same thing more than once, you get different weights, as much as a couple of grams and when removing the item, rather than falling back to zero it's now a minus! Noticed this when trying to measure 7 grams of baking soda and salt; could not get consistent readings which forced me back to the old measuring spoons. Had I relied upon the scale, mission failure!Granted, weighing out 3 cups of flour that difference won't make or break that bakery treat you're attempting, but when it comes to weighing out small amounts a gram or more can make all the difference at times. So..... I wouldn't call this scale accurate, which that being what you'd like in a scale, I can't rate this very highAt first the odd batteries it requires didn't really bother me; I could put up with that but given the unit's not accurate, it's only adding insult to injury.2 stars because it stores easily and it's probably ok for larger weights, but not sensitive enough for finer measurements.UPDATE: Gotta give it to this company. After posting my updated review about the problems I was having with this scale, the company reached out and offered to send me a new one even though my warranty was past the year mark. I informed them I would be out of town for a couple of weeks and wouldn't be able to send back the problematic unit; they were fine with sending me out a new scale immediately and happy to wait till I returned to send in the original scale. Nicely done!!! The new scale seems to be working properly, thank goodness. Thanks Ozeri Kitchen!!!

Only had this a few days, but it seems to be a solid product so far. I specifically tested it for repeatably based on some negative reviews here on Amazon, and I found no issue. Several various measuring cups tared correctly, and kept proper measurements on the grams scale as I moved the container from side to side on the surface.I have no calibrated weights to test with, but one measured cup of water and two measured cups of water in a correctly tared measuring cup both weight within 1gm of the expected weights from some "standards" site I found.So overall the repeatability and accuracy is well within what's necessary for baking a loaf of bread.EDIT: So far I have been using this as my primary kitchen scale for about six weeks. It has not disappointed me. Granted I am not a heavy user, and this is not a commercial product. It is designed for people exactly like me, 3 - 10 uses a week use for critical measurements like baking, and it works perfectly for that.I have not noticed the lack of repeatability that some others have complained about, and the consistency of my baking has improved dramatically.I am pleased enough that I just bought another one for my daughter.

We have had this scale for about one week, if anything changes from the following review I will update it.ACCURACY: The scale seems to be very accurate. I weighed a variety of products that had defined weights (for example butter) and every item was very close to the published weight. (Of course that relies on the published weight being accurate.) Our primary use is to weigh foods for dieting and for that purpose it is more than sufficient.STYLE: This is subjective based on personal preference, but it is very attractive and "hides" nicely on the counter top.DISPLAY: The display is easy to read. It is viewable from a wide angle making it easy to put a large plate on top and still be able to read the weight. Have not had any problem with keeping the surface clean or with fingerprint problems.OPERATION: Changing the units and using the tare weight is simple. There is nothing complicated about the scale but yet it is very functional.MISC: Time will tell if the scale is reliable. (I will update if it is not.) The only issue is an unknown about storage. The manual implies that it should be stored on a horizontal surface. It would be nice if the manual was clear about that, either is MUST be stored that way or it CAN be stored on its side (like a book).OVERALL: So far we are very satisfied with this scale and would certainly recommend it to others.

I ruined my last scale by getting it wet. I considered ordering the same cheap style but decided to try this Ozeri based on such fabulous reviews on Amazon. When I received this scale, it kept reading un5t. I couldn't get it to work at all. Within minutes of opening the package from Amazon, I sent an email to Ozeri Customer Service. A few hours later, I received a kind message, stating that if I wasn't happy they would send me a new one. I kept working with the scale, and decided there was nothing wrong with it. I really can't figure out why I was having so many problems. Perhaps my touch was not light enough. I purchased the scale to weigh my dog's food 2 x day in grams. Now all I do it put the scale on the counter, place her bowl on the scale , then touch tare on the right side;. It zeros out the bowl so all I do is add the food. (if you turn it on before placing the bowl on the scale, then you must hit the on button again to zero it out). For some reason, it always appears in grams and I presume it's because I turned it off in that mode. I do find that you must handle the scale delicately because if you touch the side near the on button, the scale will turn on while you are putting it away. I make sure it's turned off, turn it around, then place it flat on a shelf. I make pizza weekly and use the scale to weigh all of my ingredients. It's easy to change from grams, to ounces to liquid ounces. I tried to weigh a micro amount of yeast and it would not register the lowest amount which is advertised but I found some mini measuring spoons which work to measure micro pinches of the yeast. I have been using the scale for 3 months and hope I do not need to change the batteries often.

Love the size and finish of these scales. Bought in 2014 we've had some initial issues such as when stored the display turns on by mistake very easily which drains batteries in no time. It's now 2021 and the scale has given up fully, changing batteries won't help. Back unscrews so possibly fixable but we have a toddler and time is precious so will sadly buy a different model this time.

Although I loved the product, less than a year after I bought it, the battery slot got loose. Hence, when I turn it on, I only have few seconds to weight something as it ll flag that batteries are running out before turning off. I have only changed batteries once (this time) and it a bit unusable if you are making something that requires to weight one thing after the other. I am not giving it 1star simply because it still works, but I am very disappointed about the product quality 9 months after I bought it and used it 3 times a week in average.

Having had enough of Salter scales as they give up after a year or two I've decided to try a different make. I haven't had these for long but they've been put to very good use over the Christmas period.Initially we thought that the scales were not very well balanced but it turned out that we were pressing the 'buttons' far too hard and up-ending them! The scales require the lightest of touches to activate which is wonderful when you realise this!. The measurements are easy to change, resetting to zero is simple, and switching off is a matter of holding the power button for a couple of seconds if you don't want to wait for it to automatically switch off after a couple of minutes.The scales are easy to keep clean - just a simple wipe down, with no buttons to get clogged up with flour, water,etc..They also look very stylish; in fact they've been mistaken for a tablet on our kitchen work surface!So far I'm very impressed but only time will tell. For the money they are excellent value. Even if I have to replace them after a year or two I would choose these scales over any of my previous Salter sets. :)

I spent a lot of time choosing this scale and it has proved worthwhile. I like the tempered glass top where no bits of flour can get inside. The readout is very clear even with my large bread mixing bowl on it because of the long shape of the scale and the backlighting. It fits beautifully at the side of my utensil drawer and looks good when it's out on the kitchen top. Just hoping that I still feel the same 12 months hence.January 2015 - still happy with scale.

Having used these for the last few weeks I like them for the accuracy of measuring out baking ingredients. For the past few years I've used bulky manual scales and it's hard to get the grams exact. These scales are so simple to use, you can add a bowl, press the tare button which reverts them back to zero and then you can add whatever you are weighing out.They look sleek, have a smooth glass finish and take up little room to store away. A great addition to my kitchen for my weekly baking.
