Greatly reduces motion sickness, works without gel
Reliefband isn't perfect, but it makes a huge difference in my ability to ride in a vehicle without getting a headache or nausea after the first 20 minutes. I found that the wristband works without gel if I just exhale some warm air between the contacts and my skin as I'm putting it on, to give it some moisture for conductivity. I've been using the band without gel for the past 2 years, often multiple times per day. I wear it whenever I ride in a car, bus, train, airplane, or other moving vehicle. For years I've had motion sickness that causes headaches and mild nausea when I ride in a vehicle. It was never to the point of vomiting, but that's partly because I'm so terrified of vomiting that I would rather get out of the vehicle and be stuck sitting on the side of the road for a few hours while I recover, rather than continue riding and feeling sick. Sometimes I would ride in a car for 30 minutes and be fine, but other times I would happen to be looking down or behind me as the car started moving, and I would immediately feel a bit sick. I couldn't look at my phone at all while in a vehicle, and even if I'm riding in an elevator and I try to look at a picture on someone's phone, I'll have a mild headache for the next hour. Before Reliefband, I started avoiding riding in vehicles whenever possible (to the point of missing fun activities on vacation because I was terrified that riding in a bus would make me feel sick), and I would constantly ask my partner to drive absurdly slow around corners, to the point that another friend (who also has motion sickness) started begging us to go faster or it would take all day to drive up the curvy mountain road. Now I wear the Reliefband anytime I'm riding in a moving vehicle (even if only taking the subway for 5 minutes), and it makes a huge difference. Most of the time, I'm completely fine, even after riding in a train for 2 hours while working on my laptop the whole time. There are some times when it's not perfect, like one time when I rode in a fast Lyft on a curvy mountain road for 30 minutes, and I felt kind of sick afterward despite wearing the Reliefband. These days, if I know I'm going to be subjected to something like that, or if I'm going to be riding in vehicles all day, I'll often take Dramamine Less-Drowsy (Meclizine) because the Reliefband isn't perfect. Some reviewers have complained that the tingling in your hand is annoying, but personally I find it calming, because the mild tingling sensation reassures me that the Reliefband is working to protect me against motion sickness. I usually use it on setting 2 or 3 (out of 6).The only issue I've had with the physical device (Reliefband Sport) is that when I use it on a long flight (3000+ miles), sometimes it develops an air bubble under the button as if there's air trapped inside and it's expanding due to pressure change. The issue resolves within a day after the flight, but I still found it a bit concerning, so I switched to using a non-waterproof Reliefband Classic for air travel. The Reliefband Sport is much more comfortable (you can adjust it to the exact diameter of your wrist, the velcro is easy to use, and there are no metal wires holding the band to the watch head), but both of them otherwise work well. The Reliefband is pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. For the improvement in quality of life that it gives me -- to be able to ride in a vehicle without feeling vaguely sick for the next few hours after, or having a headache for the rest of the day -- I would pay even 5x as much if I had to.

Couldn’t get it to work
I bought this because we are on a cruise to Alaska. I could not get this band to work. I tried letting it charge overnight. It would not stay on. Thankfully I had a prescription as well or it would have horrible.

Works perfectly
I bought this to use on a small boat that I was on to photograph sea birds. 3-6 ft swells, day after day, looking through a telephoto lens and zero nausea. The little electronic pulses are noticeable but not painful, nor do they interfere with anything I was trying to do. No after effects. The only con is the charger, it disconnects very easily. Overall- solid purchase.

Eliminated nausea from car rides
I got this for my sister while we traveled the winding roads in Scotland, because she easily gets car sick. She used to use sea bands, and take gravol/ Dramamine to deal with it.She said that for this trip, not only was her nausea reduced, but it was eliminated. She noted that she had to figure out how to set the intensity. The little blue dot kept moving around, as if it was waiting for her to press the button again. Then once she pressed it, she could press it more times to increase the intensity. Also, she moved it around in her wrist until she could feel it on her middle finger. As long as it was placed there, it really worked for her.We had an enjoyable trip and she didn’t have to worry about car sickness for the full two weeks. It is a bit pricey, but she was happy to have it.

Company won’t replace broken item
Reliefband sport provides good relief from motion sickness. However, the item was purchased in April 2024 and by September 2024 the face where the band is turned on and off and the intensity is adjusted cracked. I use the band under normal circumstances and press only with my fingertip. Customer service said “ This wear and tear on the face is due to pressing hard on the face of the unit and is therefore not covered by the 1-year warrantee.”Company refusal to honor the warrantee drops the rating to 0-1 star. I do not recommend this manufacturer.

It changed my life!
I have never been able to travel on anything that was not a car. I borrowed this from a relative to go on a mission trip to Guatemala and I was astounded at how well it worked. It opened up doors for me to explore and I’m returning to Guatemala again this year. The charging cord is wonky and you have to carefully attach it. Would buy again x100!

Good Idea Poorly Implemented
This is my second device from them. The first was problematic as it could not be charged or have the battery replaced thus useless after fifty hours. This one offered good promise although it is of cheaper plastic construction that helps in lightness but may cause durability and style issues, which is inconsistent with its price. The buttons are a little quirky. Worked well on my flight out but unknown to me continued to drain the battery so I could not use it on my flight back and given the proprietary nature of the charger and its short length, I could not even charge it on one of my three return flights for the other two. This are major design flaws. Now that I have paid high prices for two, it is hard to recommend even though they do provide a good solution that works.
