Hillman 48480 Deck Spacer Tool 2 Pack, Green

This is a flimsy simple piece of plastic. But can give your work a nice tidy finish because it helps you make even spaces AND helps you place your screws nice and evenly. I used this to place some floor planks on my kid's playhouse. I actually used 4 of them (so two packs of this item) for longer planks. It's cheap enough to do so. I'm not sure how it would stand up to heavier work. But then again I don't know if you'd be buying this to be used over and over for years

I’ve never installed a deck before so can’t really compare however I saw a varient of these on tictoc and thought that’s exactly what I need. They worked well to accurately space out each board

Bought 2 sets of these spacers because I was building a new pool deck and installing composite. These multi thickness spacers are so worth the purchase.

Pretty happy with this purchase. Its very handy to have uniform spacing where you need it without having to measure anything. I did end up having one of the spacers tear in half but its kinda the nature of the beast when doing construction work. For casual DIY situations these are a no brainer. If you want something for the long haul that will put up with more abuse you may want to look elsewhere.
