I’m on language number three now using this company's products. I will tell you the pluses and minuses. The minuses are that there are quite a few other books and apps that will do a much better job at teaching you how to read and write a foreign language. But when it comes to holding an actual conversation with native speakers this is by far the best. I have been complimented by native speakers for my Brazilian Portuguese accent. I must admit that it’s also because I took some one-on-one Brazilian Portuguese classes. But I still must say at least 50% of my progress is because of Learning Portuguese Like Crazy. Another small issue is that I had to get the accompanying Learning Brazilian Portuguese Like Crazy audiobook to really develop the accent and pronunciation of a native speaker, and to actually understand native speakers when they speak really fast. But the small investment I made in the audiobook was definitely worth it in light of the progress I've made speaking and understanding spoken Brazilian Portuguese.
