Love this ladder, I wish it would come in a 6 ft version.

How much can a person rave about a step ladder, really? A LOT! I actually ordered this for my parents. Dad fell off a chair trying to reach something on the top shelf in their closet and it really banged him up. This could have prevented that. It's stylish, functional, and I love the padded handles and the little utility pouch that sits up top. So handy for taking out bulbs to clean the ceiling fans and globes! So yes, this will go to the folks. And yes, I will order another one for us. About the only CON I can think of is it's not very light. It's sturdy, but may be too heavy for some older folks to haul around by themselves. Between Mom and Dad, though, I think they'll manage. I love this ladder and recommend it highly!

We needed a step stool/ladder substitute that was as safe as possible.This makes it easier for my husband and myself to reach the extra tall kitchen cabinets we had put in when we built our house (we were younger then). Having the handles on both sides gives us that extra feeling of security when using this step ladder. It is stable, has rubber step treads and handrail coatings. Ours came with a cloth, removable holder for dust rags, cleaning product spray bottles etcetera so that we don't have to climb up and down too often. Once you learn how it works you can collapse it fairly easily. The reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because it is a bit heavy for a 5'3", 71 year old lady (not a couch potato). HOWEVER, I find it is easier to move around if you carry it more on you back. Collapse it, turn your back to it while slipping your arms into the long hand holds, then it lifts more easily. I've carried it all around our house, inside and outside to do work! A substitute for one of my gym workout days!

The ladder is built so that you can stand on the third step and still grasp the top handle to steady yourself and reach the ceiling or the tool pouch. Unfortunately, the handles stick out several inches making storage very problematic inside a house. The collapsible handles described on the Amazon page ARE NOT part of what is shipped. Stay away from this "bait and switch" product if you need the ladder to collapse to a shallow position for storage. BE AWARE! Even after calling and talking to Amazon's Customer Service they were not able to get me what I ordered either.

Possibly the best money I have ever spent. Very steady and the handrails give me the confidence to climb it. My balance is not always the best but I feel very safe on this ladder. Finally I can reach the ceiling to change smoke alarm batteries, change light bulbs, etc. instead of having to wait on somebody to come do it for me. Great product and we'll worth the price.

Nice ladder seems to be sturdy, was concerned about it tipping over when climbing up and down the stairs. It is not light weight making it hard for an older person to move it from place to place. Safety is a big issue, the hand rails do give support and fells more stable but if you lean to far sideways it will tip. Way over priced, same ladder is $79.99 at QVC. Half the price for the exact same ladder. Google it and check before you spend your hard earned money and purchase this item. ,

I liked the quality of the ladder; however, I returned it right away because it was too heavy for me to handle.

This ladder is exceptional!!! Feels so safe to climb and stand on because of the rails to hold onto. I would advise anyone to buy it. Especially if you are older but still active and need more support to give you the confidence to do a job up high. Top step is larger and gives you confidence.
