Be sure and check it for a short with a meter before you use it!
Mine arrived with a dead short between center element and ground, which I discovered using an ohm meter after my scanner was not picking up any signals. If you plan to use this on a transmitter, be sure and check it with a meter before you attach it! Your Tx is not going be happy if you transmit into a dead short. Other reviewers have also noted the same problem, so be on the lookout. As it is, even if it arrives without a short this is probably not something you would want to risk using on a transmitter, because it is a fairly delicate arrangement that could become a dead short at any time.

1 good 1 bad
Ordered 2. One was good the other was dead shorted. Center pin and ground connected causing dead short.

poor product, terrible quality.
The wire was exposed on delivery because the connection was never crimped. This should never have made it to packaging, shows the lack of QC.

Great Product
This adapter allows me to use the scanner with a magnet based CB antenna and outdated handheld scanner. The Wx band is always useful during bad weather which why I kept the scanner. It can be used while camping in the mountains where NOAA coverage isn't as clear with the short antenna.

Not crimped, only heat shrinked. Don't expect it to last long.
This lasted just over a month before falling apart at the BNC connector. The connector just fell off when I was disconnecting my HT from an antenna. When I pulled back the heat shrink it was clear that there was no crimping of the cable and it was just held together with the heat shrink alone. It would probably be fine for something that is rarely connected or disconnected but for anything you intend to connect frequently look elsewhere.

Works great!
I used this as an interface to a Tecsun PL-880 radio using a 3.5 adapter on one end. Using this with a G5RV will pull in stations from everywhere! Very impressed.

Poorly made. Good idea
Not making a connection on the BBC end. If you wiggle it just right it works.
