If you are replacing the mechanism from a clock just, remove the old mechanism and keep in order of how you removed it. Then when putting the new mechanism on... follow how u took the old one off. 1. Should be black box on the back of the clock. Maybe a spacer if it comes with it 2. Washer and nut. 3. Hour hand 4. Minute hand 5. Second hand Might be another piece between the hour and minute piece but not sure. Also should have directions in the box
