Melon-Cucumber Scented Airy Pink Souflee; Fine for Sensitive SkinThe Boscia Plant Step Cell & Ceramide Barrier Defense Moisturizer is a ceramide + fruit extract-rich, airy, soft pink souffle with a faint whiff of melon-cucumber (natural to product).If you are curious, Ceramides are lipids (natural to your skin already) that help create a moisture barrier, preventing permeability and protecting skin from environmental damage, dryness, and irritation. In addition, the copious amount of plant extracts are antioxidant-rich, which aid in lessening oxidative damage caused by "free radicals" (aka unstable, damaging molecules) and environmental aggressors (e.g., UV, pollution).I love the weird bouncy, light texture, spreadability, and mild hydration. These days, most products in jars have enough "stuff" in them designed to inhibit contamination or unwanted bacterial/fungal germination. Still, I take clean hands, scoop out a small amount (a little goes a long way, so ~a dime or nickel), and spread it evenly over my face and neck.Didn't cause any irritation, flares, redness, rashes, sensitivity, or breakouts. Nor did it make me feel greasy, tacky, or sticky. Instead, left me with a semi-matte glow. However, one night I did pair this with the sample treatment they included. No issues. Otherwise, I likely would use this on the nights I'm not using actives (e.g., AHAs, BHAs, Retinol, derivatives).Comes in a sturdy 1.7oz bright yellow plastic jar (for ~$36 as of this writing) paired with a sample poly plastic tube of their 0.6% waterless Pro-Retinol Repair serum. If you are curious, the serum is semi-runny, clear, not smelly, and has good spreadability and absorption. Best to use in the PM. But the packaging for the serum itself does not make it easy to control the amount you should be using. Suggests 2-3 "drops," and instead, you get a stream of product emerging from the tip, not droplets. So it is easy to get a wasteful excess of treatment serum. Otherwise, I tolerated the use (sensitive skin) without any flares, rashes, irritation, or breakouts. Not enough and too soon to tell how "effective" their 0.6% Retinol is.Overall, I liked the use and quality of the Boscia products mentioned above. Given my personal experience, I think this would be fine for sensitive skin, all skin types.

Upon opening this cream it looked off because it was not smooth at all. Instead it was almost cottage cheese like with lots of lumps. The smell was off as well. It’s smells very very old. Like the lotions I accidentally let go to the back of an unused cabinet then discover it 5 years later. It stinks. I would not recommend this cream at all.

Considering what you can pay for plant stem cell creams, this is an inexpensive price. Only have used it a week. Makes my skin feel a little tight when first applied but loosens with time. It's not greasy, more of a dewy feel. I prefer fragrance free, but this product smells like stale oil. I will continue to use it to see its quality, but doubt I will purchase again.

This face cream is fragrance free, which is wonderful. Right off the bat, this stuff is good for most people, even those who are sensitive to fragrances. I like Boscia products because their ingredients are usually pretty "clean" - no artificial fragrance/colors, chemical preservatives, vegan, cruelty free, and all the good stuff that should be a minimum requirement for all skincare companies.This cream is somewhat moist and semi thick, but not super rich to where it is hard to apply. It took a few minutes to absorb into my skin and did not leave any uncomfortable feeling such as stickiness or tackiness. It left my skin feeling soft and moisturized. This cream feels gentle. I did scan the ingredients list and didn't see anything that would be a cause for concern. I really like this product - simple, straightforward, ingredients that provides good moisture, no frills and fluff.My only complaint for this is that you don't get a lot of product for this price. I know Boscia products are slightly pricier (justifiably so with the ingredients they use) but they could have given a little more product. Package arrived damaged. Product box was quite destroyed. No protective barrier on product to ensure sanitation. That said, I do love the product overall and will continue to purchase - but probably will make sure to purchase through official Boscia website rather than on Amazon.
