Each piece is a little larger than a quarter. I'm not sure how many come in a bag. 15 maybe?

Yes, if the seller uses the right picture of the bag. Before Katjes used animal gelatin but the newer bags are having this green round label on there, saying: I love veggie. And: Ohne tierische Gelatine = without animal gelatin. Also it says on the German website of Katjes that they are NOW suitable for vegetarians.
